We return after a brief hiatus for reflection of honor featuring the main event of The Bouncers and Jay Lethal against The Kingdom. The night begins with a non-title Television championship match up.
Rhett Titus vs Shane Taylor (non-title match)
ROH episode #408 kicked the show off with Rhett Titus taking on TV Champion Shane Taylor in a non-title match.
The two locked up, but Taylor showed his superior strength and size driving Titus backward. Titus used his speed advantage to try and lock Taylor up from behind.
Titus sprung off the ropes, but Taylor again showed his weight advantage taking him to the ground with his shoulders as the two collided.
Titus ducked a clothesline, only to be caught with a second clothesline as he turned back around to face Taylor.
Taylor worked down Titus’ stamina with heavy moves, including a leg drop across his torso on the ring apron.
Titus and Taylor scored a few hard knocks to each other’s head as they went back and forth. But Titus was finally able to steer momentum to his side with a splash on Taylor in the corner, followed by a Samoan drop.
But Taylor was able to push Titus down and surprise him with a hard knee to his face. Titus fired back as the two traded blows again. But Taylor ducked two punches and knocked Titus out with a head butt out of nowhere. Taylor scored a relatively easy victory with a pinfall.
Winner: Shane Taylor
Kenny King then got up from the announce table and grabbed the microphone. He told Titus that he was “disgusting”, disappointed with his performance given that they were once a strong tag team in the past.
He then questioned whether his pregnant wife would be proud to be carrying his baby after that performance. Titus was clearly shaken up by this verbally personal attack and retreated out of the ring without a fight.
Kelly Klein interview
Klein addressed the reality that ROH has some of the best female wrestlers in the world at the moment. Klein then addressed the upcoming #1 contender 4-corner survival match between Jenny Rose, Angelina Love, Tasha Steelz and Stella Grey. She boasted her desire to step into the ring with any one of them in the near future.
4-Corner Survival Match – Jenny Rose vs Angelina Love vs Tasha Steelz vs Stella Grey
Love and Leon took the fight to the outside while Steelz and Grey went at it in the center of the ring. Love came back in the ring threw Grey backward. But Rose came back in the ring and surprised Love with a spear as Steelz recovered.
Steelz threw Rose to the outside setting up some one-on-one competition with Love as she recovered to her feet following the spear. The two locked up and went off the ropes resulting in a hip toss on Love. But Love recovered and scored a sidewalk slam that dazed Steelz.
Love whipped Steelz towards the ropes, but she was able to counter the offense by running up the ropes and jumping over love. The two traded blows and Steelz scored the upper hand. As Steelz went off the ropes, Allure members grabbed her foot and tripped her.
The referee became angered and ordered Allure members to retreat backstage. Love came back in the ring to face Love. Love missed a spear, driving her shoulder into the ring post.
Love redirected her attention to Grey outside the ring, but Steelz surprised them both with a crossbody over the top ropes pummeling them to the floor.
Love then went to the top turnbuckle and delivered an even more elevated crossbody onto all three competitors.
Kelly Klein, the guest announcer for this match, left the booth and distracted Love. Steelz and Grey used the opportunity to attack Love and throw her down from the top rope.
Rose suplexed Grey, only to be hit by a big boot to the face by Love. Love waited for Grey to get back up and capitalize on her. But Steelz came out of nowhere and tossed Love out of the ring, then nailed a cutter on Grey scoring the pinfall.
Winner: Steelz
Suddenly, following the end of the match, Maria Manic, the “Maneater” appeared in the ring at the end of the match. Love retreated, but Steelz showed zero fear as the two looked at each other in the eyes.
Security personnel engulfed the ring, but Maria destroyed them all, delivering a torture rack to one of the remaining men.
The Bouncers and Jay Lethal vs The Kingdom
The main event is here with Jay Lethal and The Bouncers taking on The Kingdom. Jay Lethal and Vinny Marseglia locked up and exchanged chops. Vinny taunted Lethal but was taken out by a hip toss and dropkick to the face.
Malonis and TK then went at it. Ryan said he wanted Lethal, so Malonis complied and tagged him back in. Some fast-paced chain wrestling ensued between the two, but Lethal also scored the hip toss and dropkick combination maneuver on him.
Taven and Bruiser were tagged in. But Taven also said he wanted Lethal. Bruiser taunted him and Taven said he was too sweaty to wrestle.
Lethal was tagged in again and the two exchanged chops in full furiosity. The match quickly regressed into a brawl as all three Kingdom members attacked Lethal on the outside.
The referee stopped the Bouncers from joining, as Vinny worked down Lethal some more as he lay dazed on the mat.
Bruiser then scored a beer city DDT on TK. When Vinny tried to interfere, he bit his fingers. TK was able to capitalize and smack Bruiser in the face, followed by a DDT of his own.
Malonis came to make the save as other Kingdom members began interfering. Taven and Malonis exchanged blows, but Malonis caught him on his shoulders. TK attempted a crossbody on Malonis but was caught, as Malonis threw them both backward.
Lethal came out of nowhere and delivered his three suicide dives onto all members of the Kingdom on various sides of the ring.
Vinny rolled into the ring, only to be knocked back out by the Bouncers. TK attempted a surprise attack, only to be caught in the bear hug, which set up the Bouncers for their finisher on him. Malonis scored the pinfall on TK. Lethal and The Bouncers were victorious over The Kingdom.
Winners: Jay Lethal and the Bouncers
As Lethal was about to enter the ring to celebrate, Taven surprised him and delivered a Climax, slamming his skull into the hard floor as the show ended. Lethal won the match, but Taven appeared to have the last laugh.
