Also on Saturday night’s card, KENTA returns and BATEMAN will be in action. Here’s your weekly breakdown of the goings on in the LA Dojo, it’s the NJPW STRONG Synopsis.

West Coast indie standout Jakob Austin Young makes his 4th appearance in NJPW STRONG. After a debut loss to the departing Ren Narita and a pair of tag team losses with Gregory Sharpe, JAY is out to pick up his first win in the LA Dojo. He has his work cut out for him this week as he faces the demented BATEMAN.

The leader of the Stray Dog Army has been away from an NJPW STRONG ring since Fighting Spirit Unleashed back in September. That night, BATEMAN and Barret Brown failed to assemble a victory over the team of Kevin Knight and The DKC. This being the case, BATEMAN will surely be looking to re-establish himself in NJPW STRONG and to humiliate the Young Lions when he returns to The Vermont Hollywood this Saturday.

Bad Dude Tito vs KENTA

2022 has been a big year for The Mighty Don’t Kneel. Reuniting earlier this year, the Australian faction has been on a tear in NJPW. Mikey Nicholls and Shane Haste made strong appearances in the World Tag League and NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Team Championship tournament, while JONAH became a phenomenon after his outing in the G1 Climax.

The only TMDK member who hasn’t made an impact in 2022 is Bad Dude Tito, the newest member. However, “Big Teets” is adamant about making his breakthrough in 2023. This week he has a chance to build some of that all-important momentum as he faces BULLET CLUB’s KENTA in a world first.

KENTA’s 2022 has been quite hit-and-miss, never quite establishing a rhythm for himself. KENTA will similarly be looking for the all-important momentum in his first NJPW STRONG apperance in 2 years. However, only one man can emerge victorious in this world-first clash on Saturday Night.

In the biggest shock from Rumble On 44th Street, The Motor City Machine Guns captured the NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Team Championships. Now, having become the tag team champions, The Motor City Machine Guns must make their debut on NJPW STRONG.

The debuting champions will make their first title defense against Stray Dog Army’s Barret Brown and Misterioso. The Stray Dog Army emerged victorious from a chaotic #1 Contender’s match at NJPW SHOWDOWN, also featuring TMDK, West Coast Wrecking Crew, and Kevin Knight & The DKC.

It has been a long, difficult year for Stray Dog Army as they struggled to put together wins on NJPW STRONG, and the stars are beginning to align for them. Will they be able to capitalize this Saturday night on NJPW STRONG?
