Doc Gallows vs Che Cabrera

On this week’s Monday Night Raw, Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson returned to AJ Styles’ side to do battle against The Judgement Day. However, before The Good Brothers signed on the dotted line, Doc Gallows had a match against West Coast indie standout Che Cabrera. At Fighting Spirit Unleashed, Cabrera was within inches of defeating Aaron Solo.

Were it not for the aid of the ropes, “Latino Meat” would have picked up the win. This week, Che Cabrera has an even bigger task at hand. Prior to this match, at NJPW Burning Spirit, Doc Gallows suffered a double-count out thanks to Toru Yano. This result enraged Gallows, who’ll be looking to take out his frustrations on the up-and-coming Cabrera.

Can Che Cabrera survive this encounter? Or will he thrive under the pressure and defeat the D.O.C?

Aussie Open (c) vs. Team Filthy (JR Kratos & Danny Limelight) –
NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Team Championships

Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis return to the US to write another chapter in their reign as the inaugural NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Team Champions. The last time we saw Aussie Open in action was at Fighting Spirit Unleashed, when they defeated on Jorel Nelson and Royce Isaacs of West Coast Wrecking Crew. However, West Coast Wrecking Crew are but one facet of the Team Filthy diamond.

It seems when Aussie Open put away the designated tag team representatives, they also picked a fight with JR Kratos and Danny Limelight. The duo of Kratos and Limelight harken back to the early days of NJPW STRONG, when international travel was limited, and audiences were stuck at home.

During that time, Kratos and Limelight laid the foundation of the NJPW STRONG tag team division. It’s time they received their dues and had a shot at the NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Team Championship. It’s a battle of legacies this Saturday night when the inaugural NJPW STRONG Tag Team Champions take on the original NJPW STRONG tag team.

Fred Rosser (c) vs Chris Dickinson
– NJPW STRONG Openweight Championship

“Mr. No Days Off” Fred Rosser is making good on his promise to be a fighting champion, defending the NJPW STRONG Openweight Championship for the fourth time in as many months. However, there’s something a little different about his challenger on Saturday night.

Rosser’s first title defense was against Big Damo, in a match where Rosser made the challenge. The following title defenses against Fred Yehi and TJP saw the challengers issue their challenge personally.

In the closing moments of Fighting Spirit Unleashed, just as Rosser had put away United Empire’s TJP, a hooded figure entered the ring. This hooded figure sent TJP packing before laying a beating on the NJPW STRONG Openweight Champion. As Rosser lay in a crumpled heap on the mat, this hooded figure dropped their disguise to reveal their identity as none other than Chris Dickinson.

The blindside attack from “Dirty Daddy” left a foul taste in Rosser’s mouth, and the champion is chomping at the bit to get at the man who attacked him at The Vermont, Hollywood. The crowd will fall behind the fighting champion this Saturday night when “Mr No Days Off” faces off against the cowardly Chris Dickinson with the NJPW STRONG Openweight Championship on the line.
