#NEWS: 205 Live To Air From Full Sail University This Week

We are in the season known as Survivor Series and WWE continues to make changes on a constant basis. But while the cruiserweights of the WWE are still without a big match at the show, we at least find out what they will be up to while RAW and Smackdown are on their European tour.

Announced via their social media accounts and on WWE.com, the company has stated this week’s episode of 205 Live will air from the current home of NXT, Full Sail University. From their website, they gave little information on what to expect on the show:

“Don’t miss the top Superstars from WWE NXT and the best Cruiserweights in the world collide on the most exciting hour on television! Will a new challenger emerge for NXT Cruiserweight Champion Lio Rush, or will more Superstars step up to make their case?”.

A welcome change for the brand, as the division returns to its birthplace. The Cruiserweight Classic was held there just 3 years ago. In the announcement, it was stated the show will still air live right after Friday Night Smackdown finishes on FOX.

It will be interesting to see if they still follow through with having some NXT UK stars present as it was announced in last week’s episode. Either way, Friday night may bring some interesting matches. I fully expect the hot crowd in Orlando to be behind this possible one-time episode.

Caul’s Call

While the main roster is away (in the UK) the cruiserweights will play. I fully expect the 205 Live roster to capitalize on a smaller crowd and higher engagement. I stated to our editor that I fully expect Friday’s episode to be an eye-opener. And that I’ll bet the dollar in my pocket it’s gonna force WWE’s hand and have 205 Live at Full Sail permanently, eventually. We will see how the crowd soaks up this special occasion. I expect this to be an interesting turning point in the division’s show.

This Friday is sure to be an eventful night of cruiserweight action on the WWE Network. But before the night takes place, check out a throwback Tuesday of NXT’s current superstars Tomasso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano as they go head-to-head in a classic from the first round of the CWC.
