Jon Moxley and Sami Callihan to team at Tales from the Ring 3

With more indie wrestling companies starting to resume shows, there are certainly some incredible cards in the works. One such event is The Wrestling Revolver’s upcoming show, Tales from the Ring 3. Although the full card has not been announced, Pro Wrestling Post does have some big news to share. Jon Moxley and Sami Callihan to team at Tales from the Ring 3.

The Wrestling Revolver is a promotion run by IMPACT Wrestling star Sami Callihan which features an eclectic mix of styles. Any given night could feature great technical wrestling, exciting high-flying action, tag team matches, and ultra-violent deathmatches, all on the same card. Callihan also uses his connections to book all kinds of special appearances. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see names such as Nick Gage, Ace Austin, Alex Colon, Trey Miguel, and Eddie Edwards, just to name a few.

All that said, The Wrestling Revolver is set to top themselves once again with a truly show-stopping event. After being inactive for over a year due to the Covid-19, WR plans to come back with a vengeance. Revolver’s social media has already announced some exciting names, although no specific card has been released. For the first time since January 2017, the American Wolves Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards will team up. That’s only the beginning, though, as Jessicka Havok, Ace Austin, Trey Miguel, “Manscout” Jake Manning, Warhorse, Jake Crist, and Rich Swann are all confirmed for the event.

In the biggest announcement for Tales of the Ring 3, it is now official that Sami Callihan and Jon Moxley will reunite after 10 years. Moxley and Callihan experienced success early in their careers as the tag team Switchblade Conspiracy. They defeated opponents such as the Young Bucks, Drew Gulak, Adam Cole, and WALTER. They went their separate ways in 2011 when Jon Moxley signed a developmental deal with WWE. Moxley gained fame in WWE and AEW, while Callihan made his name in Impact!, Lucha Underground, and all the top independent promotions around the world.

Fans have long been clamoring for this reunion ever since AEW President Tony Khan kicked open “The Forbidden Door.” The last time the two teamed up, Callihan and Moxley were both relatively unknown. What a difference ten years can make. Both have since become huge names in the wrestling business and world champions in their respective promotions. It’s no wonder that the fan theories began as early as they did. Fortunately for everyone, the Switchblade Conspiracy reunion is a conspiracy no more.

Pro Wrestling Post’s Dylan Hughes briefly spoke with Sami Callihan via text message about his thoughts on reuniting with his old partner after all this time.

DH – “News has been broken that Switchblade Conspiracy, your team with Jon Moxley, will be reuniting at Tales from the Ring 3 on October 30 in Clive, Iowa. Not only will you be reuniting with one of your earliest tag partners, but it will also be at your own promotion, The Wrestling Revolver. How much does that mean to be able to be working with Moxley again at this point in both of your careers, no less in a promotion that you run?”

The Wrestling Revolver Returns

SC“Straight up, this is huge. We’ve talked for years… of what if. Nothing has ever happened because we both had the mindset of ‘Things need to be perfect. It needs to be special.’ It needs to be right place, right time, right opponents, and right moment. Well, right now is the right f’n moment. It’s my first Revolver show back since Covid in over a year. We’re coming out swinging and putting indie wrestling around the world on notice …  It can be summed up pretty simply……. 2021 legit is the year [that] ANYTHING can happen in pro wrestling.

Indie wrestling is back, and I couldn’t be more excited! Make sure to follow Pro Wrestling Post across all social media. We’ll make sure you stay updated as the card continues to take shape.
