IMPACT for 4/21/22 (8-Man Tag)

This is the final installment of IMPACT! Wrestling before Rebellion as we preview IMPACT for 4/21/22! This week will surely see the stage set for Rebellion just a couple of days after. We will see 8-man tag team action as The Bullet Club (Doc Gallows, Karl Anderson, Chris Bey, & Jay White) takes on Honor No More (Mike Bennett, Matt Taven, Vincent, & Kenny King).

We will also see the IMPACT! Tag Team Champions, Violent By Design, in action as they take on Decay. From the IMPACT! X Division, we will see current X-Division Champion Trey Miguel team with Laredo Kid to take on “Speedball” Mike Bailey and Ace Austin.

IMPACT for 4/21/22
Violent By Design (Eric Young & Joe Doering) w/ Deaner vs. Decay (Black Taurus & Crazzy Steve)

In recent weeks members of Decay have been competing against members of Violent By Design. This week, we will see them in tag team action as Eric Young and Joe Doering face Black Taurus, and Crazzy Steve. A win this week could get Decay into a number one contender’s spot for a shot at the titles. Decay hasn’t held the Tag Team championship in quite a while; this could be a good opportunity.

Violent By Design appears to have a strength advantage with Young and Doering. Decay does have strength and agility with Taurus and Crazzy Steve. It will be interesting to see if Decay can pick up the win and a shot at the titles.

X Ace Austin & “Speedball” Mike Bailey vs. Trey Miguel & Laredo Kid

From the IMPACT! X-Division we will see some of the top contenders for reigning champion Trey Miguel’s title in tag team action. Trey Miguel and Laredo Kid take on “Speedball” Mike Bailey and Ace Austin. All of these competitors have been on a roll lately. There has been an interesting chemistry between Austin and Bailey. Austin has seemed to try and take Bailey under his wing.

However, the two are both contenders and in the running for Miguel’s X-Division Championship. This match could definitely be a boost for both Austin and Bailey if they are able to pick up a win over Miguel and Laredo Kid. Trey Miguel has been very impressive in his reign as X-Division champion, and Laredo Kid has displayed some incredible in-ring ability, so there is no counting them out in this match.

8 Man Tag Team Match – Bullet Club (Doc Gallows, Karl Anderson, Chris Bey & Jay White) vs. Honor No More (Matt Taven, Mike Bennett, Vincent, & Kenny King) w/ Maria Kanellis

Honor No More has, without a doubt, made an impact since their arrival. Unfortunately, they have mixed it up and had altercations with many of the IMPACT! roster, and this week will be no different. We will see the Bullet Club go head to head with Honor No More. Both of these teams are comprised of very talented and tenured wrestlers, so this should be a good match. The Good Brothers are multiple-time former tag team champions and work like a well-oiled machine in the ring.

We have also seen Chris Bey and Jay White work very well as a tag team and, in general, in recent months since Bey has been adopted into Bullet Club. Matt Taven and Mike Bennett have also been a team for a very long time, so they work very well cohesively. Kenny King and Vincent have been linked to Honor No More for quite some time now, though, and the faction’s dynamic seems very tight. Hard to say which team will walk away victorious.

What to expect?

  • What will happen between Moose and Josh Alexander on this final stop to Rebellion?
  • Will we see new contenders for the IMPACT! Tag Team titles?
  • Will Austin and Bailey pick up momentum before Rebellion?
