ECW Living Dangerously 2000 | ECW Saturday Night RetroView

On March 12th, 2000, Extreme Championship Wrestling aired the 3rd & Final Living Dangerously with ECW Living Dangerously 2000. We had 11 matches (1 dark match & 10 on the main show). We had Mike Awesome competing twice as he defends the ECW World Heavyweight Title against Kid Kash, then he defends the ECW World Tag Team Titles with Raven against Impact Players & Tommy Dreamer & Masato Tanaka in a 3 Way Dance.

We also got the Semi-Finals & Finals of the Television Title Tournament & Dusty Rhodes & Steve Corino face off in a Texas Bullrope Match.

Texas Bullrope Match

Dusty Rhodes vs. Steve Corino

Dusty Rhodes hits some bionic elbows & that allow HC Loc to tie the rope to Steve Corino’s arm. Then they brawl into the stands, and Rhodes busts Corino open with the cowbell. He hits and gouges Corino with it & since Corino is in trouble, Jack Victory attacks Rhodes & this allows Corino to fire back and also cuts Rhodes with the bell.

Once they return to the ring, Corino & Victory continue their double teaming then they introduce a chair, but it backfires for Corino. Rhodes takes control again and uses the bell to cut Corino’s arm & this leads to traded punches, and Corino does his own version of the bionic elbow before Victory tosses a roll of tape which Rhodes intercepts.

After another elbow, Rhodes & Loc tape the cowbell to Corino’s head, then Rhodes whacks the bell with a chair and nails an elbow drop for the win.

Winner: Dusty Rhodes (10:13)

They give an update on Lori Fullington’s condition. The Sandman accompanied her to the hospital in an ambulance & as a result, Cyrus announces Sandman will lose his tournament match by forfeit. Therefore Rhino advances to the finals. When Joey Styles hears this, he accuses Cyrus of orchestrating the attack on Fullington.

Tag Team Match

The New Dangerous Alliance (CW Anderson & Bill Wiles) vs. Danny Doring & Roadkill

CW Anderson & Roadkill starts this match off with Roadkill scores a sidewalk slam, then a front slam, and a springboard elbow drop. Then The New Dangerous Alliance tries to double-team Danny Doring, but Roadkill stops them with a springboard double clothesline.

Anderson regroups after a Bareback, so Doring lands a vaulting plancha off Roadkill’s back, but The New Dangerous Alliance takes control then they use frequent tags and strikes. Anderson even hits a snap exploder suplex on Doring before Doring comes back by hitting G Spot Sweep and makes the hot tag.

Roadkill cleans house with clotheslines and an Amish Drop. The New Dangerous Alliance tries to rally with a superkick, but it isn’t enough. Doring & Roadkill hits Wham Bam Thank You, Ma’am and Lancaster Lariat Of Lust.

They appear to have things in control but Elektra crotches Roadkill on the top rope & that allows Anderson to connect with a Spinebuster to get the win for his team.

ECW World Heavyweight Title Match

Mike Awesome (c) vs. Kid Kash

Kid Kash attacks Mike Awesome, but Awesome gives him a release belly 2 belly. Then he follows with an avalanche in the corner and an Awesome Splash, then they head outside, and the action spills over the rail. Kash lands a springboard plancha into the stands.

Back inside the ring, Jeff Jones distracts Kash and eats a sit-out Pedigree for his trouble & this allows Awesome to nail a slingshot shoulder tackle, then he clotheslines Kash out of the air on a hurricanrana attempt.

Awesome hits an Awesome Bomb, but he isn’t done as he sets up a table and puts Kash on it. When Awesome climbs the ropes but Kash gets up and fights with him, but Awesome hits an Awesome Bomb off the middle rope through the table to put Kash away.

Winner: AND STILL ECW World Heavyweight Champion: Mike Awesome (4:44)

Tag Team Match

Nova & Chris Chetti vs. Jado & Gedo

Nova & Chris Chetti use double team moves until Jado & Gedo send them outside. Gedo does an Asai Moonsault, but Nova connects Sledge O Matic inside the ring then Nova & Chetti do a wheelbarrow hotshot on Gedo.

After some brawling outside, Jado & Gedo take control with quick tags and holds as Jado lands a back superplex. Then he tries a flying hurricanrana next, but Nova counters into a sit-out powerbomb & this leads to Chetti’s hot tag & he nails a release German suplex followed by a Blue Thunder Bomb on Gedo.

Chetti gets a two count from an assisted backslide & which causes a wild brawl and chaos. Jado & Gedo do a super bomb, then Nova & Gedo hit a senton bomb and a frog splash at the same time, then the ref counts both pins for a two count before Chetti & Nova connects with Amityville Horror & Tidal Wave for the win.

Winners: Nova & Chris Chetti (7:33)

Rhino vs. The Sandman

The match doesn’t happen due to Sandman is still at the hospital with his wife.

Super Crazy vs. Little Guido

Super Crazy lands an Asai Moonsault into the stands, then he also tries a springboard off the rail but Little Guido catches him with a Fujiwara Armbar. Back inside the ring, Guido swats Crazy out of the air and grabs a chair & when he misses a shot, Crazy answers with two of his own.

Crazy does corner punches while the fans count in Spanish, then Sal E Graziano interferes, so Crazy does the same to him. Then Guido takes Graziano’s belt, and both men take turns whipping each other before Graziano brings a table into the ring. Graziano tries to put Crazy through the table, but he crashes through it.

Crazy gives Graziano a hurricanrana, then Crazy & Guido counter each other’s moves until Crazy nails a low blow, then drills Guido to the mat with a powerbomb, then hits the moonsault for the win.

Winner: Super Crazy (7:47) (He will face Rhino in the Finals)

Balls Mahoney vs. Kintaro Kanemura

Kintaro Kanemura knocks Balls Mahoney down, and Mahoney falls onto the ropes. Kanemura then lands a hip attack, a dropkick on the apron, and a slingshot splash.

Kanemura slams Mahoney and nails a flying senton, then goes for the cover, but Mahoney kicks out at 2, so Kanemura throws more strikes, but Mahoney surprises him with the Ballbreaker and a frog splash.

They scuffle on the top rope, and Kanemura does a superplex. Then he grabs a chair and whacks Mahoney in the head, but it doesn’t faze Mahoney.

He flips Kanemura off and hits a clothesline, then follows it up by hitting Nutcracker Suite on a chair for the victory.

Winner: Balls Mahoney (1:58)

After the match Da Baldies run in and attack Mahoney & they triple team him and lands a double flapjack. Then they send Mahoney to the floor and put him on a table. Vic Grimes does a senton bomb from the ring and lands on Mahoney; now, New Jack’s music plays. He strolls into the arena with his trash can full of weapons.

New Jack vs. Vic Grimes

Angel & DeVito fight with New Jack while Grimes recovers from his senton bomb. New Jack hits them with crutches, a PlayStation, and a guitar, so Grimes returns and cuts New Jack with his pizza cutter. New Jack answers with a shovel and bites Grimes, then they brawl into the stands & the fans swarm a poor cameraman, and we miss part of the action.

When we see Grimes & New Jack again, they head toward a scaffold as Grimes nails New Jack with a metal stand and puts New Jack in the middle of stacked tables. Grimes ascends the scaffold & New Jack gets up and follows him. They scuffle at the top, and New Jack blocks a powerbomb.

Jack grabs Grimes, but he isn’t ready but New Jack pulls him off the scaffold anyways & they crash to the floor and. Grimes lands on New Jack’s head, so the ref calls the match off.

Winner: No Contest

3-Way Dance Match

Raven & Mike Awesome (c) vs. Impact Players (Justin Credible & Lance Storm) vs. Tommy Dreamer & Masato Tanaka

Tommy Dreamer & Masato Tanaka go after Mike Awesome but Awesome gives Dreamer a sit-out powerbomb then The Impact Players use the opening to hit a double team move on Awesome, then everyone pairs up and brawls as they fight around the ring and use the guardrail and chairs.

Back in the ring, Raven sets up a table and drops Dreamer on the corner until Dreamer breaks it with his face. Then Awesome tries to Awesome Bomb Tanaka onto another table, but it backfires as Tanaka puts Awesome through it and nails a Roaring Elbow to eliminate Awesome & Raven.

The Impact Players target the cut of Dreamer, then Justin Credible uses the cane on Tanaka and gives Dreamer a swinging DDT but Credible superkicks Lance Storm by accident & this allows Dreamer to score a DDT and tag Tanaka. He cleans house with a Blue Thunder Bomb and a double Stunner, then Dreamer lifts Credible onto his shoulders to prevent a superplex.

This allows Tanaka to nail a diving Stunner before The Impact Players connects with a low blow, cane shot, and DDT. Then goes for the pin, but Tanaka kicks out. Tanaka fires back with a Diamond Dust on Credible, but Storm grabs Tanaka afterward & nails a piledriver that gets a near fall, so The Impact Players hit a spike piledriver for the win.

Finals Of The Television Title Tournament

Rhino vs. Super Crazy

Super Crazy flusters Rhino with a springboard dropkick and somersault plancha but Rhino comes back with a Michinoku Driver then the fight spills to the outside where Crazy lands another plancha but Rhino recovers and sets up a table. After some back & forth Rhino press slams Crazy onto the table & once he rolls Crazy inside, Rhino nails a powerbomb.

He goes for the cover, but Crazy kicks out, so Rhino sets up another table in the corner. He looks for Gore, but Crazy moves, and Rhino crashes into the plunder & this allows Crazy to do a flying crossbody and a DDT then Crazy goes for the triple moonsaults & when he hits the 3rd one Rhino pulls the referee into the way.

With the ref down, Tajiri runs to the ring and sprays Crazy with the mist then he low dropkicks Crazy in the face Rhino & Tajiri put Crazy in a tree of woe & they give him a baseball slide and a Gore. Everything looks good until Rob Van Dam arrives as he rides on the shoulders of his good friend Scotty Riggs.

Riggs deals with Tajiri while Fonzie distracts Rhino & RVD hits Rhino with a crutch and flapjacks Rhino onto a table & which allows Crazy to hit a moonsault for the win.

Winner: AND NEW Television Champion: Super Crazy (7:56)
