Last Thursday night featured a landmark episode of IMPACT! Wrestling. Following their appearances at Slammiversary, we heard from the returning Mickie James and the debuting Jay White. Mickie James came to invite Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo to wrestle at NWA Empowerrr, an all-female PPV produced by the IMPACT Legend herself. Meanwhile, the NEVER Openweight champion had other ideas. “Switchblade” Jay White declined an invitation to join The Elite, instead setting himself against The Good Brothers and IMPACT/AEW World Champion Kenny Omega. On top of that, he inducted IMPACT Wrestling’s own Chris Bey into The Bullet Club. What could happen this week? Brace for IMPACT for 7/29/21 as we look ahead to this week’s episode, Thursday night on AXS TV.

David Finlay and Juice Robinson made their return to IMPACT Wrestling at Slammiversary with a short-order victory over Madman Fulton & Mahabali Shera. Last Thursday night, Madman Fulton aimed to get his win back along with his tag team partner Ace Austin. As David Finlay and Juice Robinson started to get the better of Austin & Fulton, Rohit Raju and Mahabali Shera hit the ring.

The Desi Hit Man and The Indian Lion laid into FinJuice, letting out their frustrations from Slammiversary. As the scheduled tag team match had degenerated into a 4-on-2 beatdown, IMPACT Wrestling officials declared a no contest. Thursday night, Finlay & Robinson try to even the score with Fallah Bahh & No Way making their tag team debut on AXS TV.

Violent By Design (Rhino & Deaner) vs. Rich Swann & Willie Mack

At Slammiversary, Violent By Design defended their IMPACT Tag Team Titles in a 4-way match featuring Swann & Mack, The Good Brothers, and Fallah Bahh & No Way. Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson of The Good Brothers walked away with the titles that night. As such, Violent By Design are as determined as ever to take back their titles. However, it being a 4-way match, VBD have to work their way back up the ladder.

On Thursday night, they face the recently reunited duo of Rich Swann & Willie Mack. Swann & Mack are finding their footing in the IMPACT Wrestling tag team division following years apart. However, in the intervening time, Willie Mack and Rich Swann picked up the X-Division and IMPACT World Championship, respectively. This Thursday night on AXS TV, Rich Swann & Willie Mack continue their push to capture the IMPACT Tag Team Championships as they clash with former champs Violent By Design.

     Moose vs. Chris Sabin

At Under Seige, Moose injured Chris Sabin’s neck, putting him out of action for months. With one less contender on the horizon, Moose marched into Against All Odds to take on Kenny Omega. Thanks to help from The Good Brothers, Moose lost that match for the IMPACT World Championship. Chris Sabin returned shortly before Slammiversary to pick a fight with the man who put him on the shelf.

At Slammiversary, the 8-time X-Division champion put his years in the division to good use, defeating Moose by pinfall. But Moose isn’t the kind of man who takes a loss easily. This Thursday night, he faces Sabin in a Slammiversary rematch.

Jay White & Chris Bey vs. The Good Brothers

As the cameras stopped rolling at Slammiversary, “Switchblade” Jay White waltzed into Skyway Studio. The Bullet Club leader had a staredown with former members Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers. Last Thursday, Jay White returned to the IMPACT Zone to make some more words with The Elite. However, he also had some other intentions. As Chris Bey walked backstage after his match with Rohit Raju, he ran into Jay White. The New Zealand native extended an offer for Chris Bey to join the Bullet Club.

Chris Bey has yet to respond, telling Jay White that he walks alone. However, The Switchblade might change Bey’s mind this week when they team up to take on IMPACT Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers this Thursday night on IMPACT Wrestling.
