The night of Sunday, April 25th promises to be a historic one. For the first time ever, the IMPACT World Champion Rich Swann will defend his championship against an outsider. Swann faces AEW World Champion Kenny Omega in a title vs title match. On that night we will witness another first for IMPACT Wrestling, this time in the Knockouts Division. Deonna Purrazzo will defend her Knockouts Championship against Tenille Dashwood. On top of all that, we might see someone put down Violent By Design for good. But before then, there’s a handful of loose ends to tie up, and that will all happen on this week’s Brace for IMPACT for 4/22/21 on AXS.

Kiera Hogan (w/Tasha Steelz) vs Jordynne Grace
Last week, IMPACT Wrestling locker room waved goodbye to the retiring Jazz. During the ECW/WWE legend’s farewell address, Knockouts Tag Team Champions Fire ‘N’ Flava interrupted. The duo alluded to their win over Jazz & Jordynne Grace at Sacrifice, and Jazz’s loss to Deonna Purrazzo at Hardcore Justice. They said that Jazz wanted to retire on top, but she can’t reach the top. Jazz & Jordynne Grace don’t suffer fools lightly, and swiftly made an impromptu tag team match, with Jazz pinning the champion before leaving the building.
This week Fire ‘N Flava are out to get their win back, but Jazz is enjoying her retirement. As such, Kiera Hogan will take on Jordynne Grace in singles action. But could this lead to a Knockouts Tag Team Championship match on Sunday night?
The Good Brothers vs Decay (w/Rosemary)
The delightful mini-feud between The Good Brothers and The Decay came shortly after the former lost the IMPACT Tag Team Championships. Seeing as the new champions, FinJuice, are off working for New Japan Pro Wrestling, Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson can’t get their hands on them. This has lead to Crazzy Steve and Rosemary teasing The Good Brothers whenever they see each other backstage.
At Hardcore Justice, Doc Gallows defeated Black Taurus in singles action. This week, however, Decay are out to show The Good Brothers who’s the better tag team. But seeing as The Good Brothers are #1 contenders, could Decay find themselves next in line for the Tag Team Titles?

Tenille Dashwood (w/Kaleb With a K) vs Susan (w/Deonna Purrazzo)
At Hardcore Justice, Tenille Dashwood defeated five other women to become #1 contender to the Knockouts Championship. On Sunday night, she punches her ticket and reigning champion Deonna Purrazzo for the title. However, as usual when it comes to The Virtuosa, Dashwood will have to face one of Purrazzo’s Proteges before she gets a crack at the champion. On Thursday night, Dashwood will square off against Susan in singles action.
This is an interesting choice on behalf of Deonna Purrazzo. Susan was also involved in the #1 contendership match at Hardcore Justice. However, when she made her entrance, she was overcome by her alter ego Su Yung. Might that have been a one off to suit the theme of the event, or could we see The Undead Bride emerge again on Thursday night?

Eric Young (w/Violent By Design) vs Eddie Edwards (w/James Storm, Chris Sabin & Willie Mack)
Last week on IMPACT Wrestling, Eddie Edwards and Willie Mack addressed their loss at Hardcore Justice. After Violent By Design defeated Tommy Dreamer’s team of Edwards, Mack, Rich Swann, and Trey Miguel, they absolutely savaged Dreamer. Edwards and Mack said that when you mess with Tommy Dreamer, you’re messing with the IMPACT Wrestling family. When Eddie Edwards laid out the challenge, Eric Young came to the ring, flanked by his minions in VBD. Young reminded Edwards that the last time the two met, Young walked away IMPACT World Champion.
Then, Rhino, Deaner, and Joe Doering circled the ring. As they ganged in on the heroes, Chris Sabin and James Storm hit the ramp to even the odds. These two teams will clash in a colossal 8-man tag match at Rebellion. But before then, we have to settle the question of who’s the better wrestler between Eric Young and Eddie Edwards.
What Else To Expect
- Trey Miguel and Sami Callihan cross paths before their Last Man Standing match
- Havok & Neveah continue their feud
- Rich Swann & Kenny Omega’s final words before they make history
