Brace for IMPACT for 2/22/21 (Tables Match)

Tuesday night features a brand new episode of IMPACT Wrestling on AXS TV. Two weeks have passed since No Surrender, but Rebellion is another two months away. With Tony Khan’s “Forbidden Door” wide open, a lot can happen before the big Pay Per View on April 24th. With Kenny Omega and Private Party from AEW and NJPW’s FinJuice now on IMPACT Wrestling, who else might show up in Skyway Studios? Here’s what’s in store for Tuesday night’s IMPACT Wrestling. We present Brace for IMPACT for 2/22/21.

Deaner vs. Jake Something – Tables Match

Tuesday night, Jake Something continues his one-man war against Eric Young’s Violent By Design stable. On the episode of IMPACT Wrestling just before No Surrender, Cousin Jake rebranded himself as Jake Something. During Jake’s promo about splitting from his cousin, Deaner and his partners in Violent by Design came out. Eric Young picked up Jake’s jacket and offered him a place among VBD’s ranks, but Jake refused. At No Surrender, Jake Something defeated his treacherous cousin in singles action. This week, Deaner is out to get his win back from No Surrender as he faces Jake Something in a tables match. But something tells me this feud is far from over. Given the No-DQ nature of a tables match, we could see interference from Eric Young and Joe Doering. However, Jake Something’s win at No Surrender could embolden members of the IMPACT Wrestling locker room to come to his aid.

Willie Mack, Trey Miguel, and Josh Alexander vs. Black Taurus, Chris Bey & Ace Austin (w/Madman Fulton)

IMPACT Wrestling has lined up some X-Division action on Tuesday night. As the company tries to bring its X-Division back to form, we will see 6 stars meet in a tag team match.  In one corner, former champion Willie Mack, hungry hopeful Trey Miguel, and rising X-Division star Josh Alexander. In the other, former champion Chris Bey, Super X Cup winner Ace Austin, and X-Division newcomer Black Taurus. The caliber of the athletes involved in this match really speaks to the underlying strength of the X-Division. It really is anyone’s match, however, Madman Fulton may prove to be the x-factor in this match (no pun intended). Whoever walks away, the winner will definitely find themselves closer to the top of the X-Division rankings.

Kimber Lee & Susan vs. Jazz & Jordynne Grace

Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo shows more shades of Triple H by the day. Currently, The Virtuosa has a pair of henchwomen in the form of Kimber Lee and Susan. As it stands, Purrazzo has not defended her championship since January 12th at Hard to Kill. Surely a championship defense is on the horizon. Both Jazz and Jordynne Grace would like a shot at the Knockouts Championship. However, if either tries to face Deonna Purazzo on their own, Kimber Lee and Susan are sure to get involved. Jazz and Grace are going to have to wear down Purrazzo’s Proteges if they want a fighting chance against the champion. Tuesday night, they’ll have an opportunity as once again they face Kimber Lee and Susan in tag team action. But Jazz and Jordynne Grace both have their eyes on the top prize. Could this cause friction in their tag team?

What Else To Expect:

  • IMPACT World Champion Rich Swann’s next opponent steps up
  • More from DECAY
  • XXXL return to the tag team title chase
