Brace For IMPACT for 1/26/21 (Hardy & Private Party To Appear)

Hot on the heels of the Hard To Kill fallout show last week, IMPACT Wrestling returns to AXS TV. Last week we saw Private Party debut in IMPACT, along with their manager Matt Hardy. With Isiah Kassidy, Marq Quen, Matt Hardy, and AEW World Champion Kenny Omega now present in IMPACT Wrestling, it seems like we’re in the early days of an AEW invasion. Let’s see what’s in store for this week’s IMPACT Wrestling. This is Brace For IMPACT for 1/26/21.

Eddie Edwards vs. Brian Myers

On August 11th, 2020, Brian Myers answered Eddie Edwards’s open challenge for the IMPACT World Championship. He put up a valiant effort against then-champion Edwards but failed to capture the title that night. A lot has happened since then, and on Tuesday night, Eddie Edwards will face Brian Myers under much different circumstances. Edwards is no longer champion, for one, and he just finished a feud with Sami Callihan in a Barbed Wire Massacre at Hard To Kill. In the other corner, Brian Myers has since found his footing in IMPACT Wrestling, with a 7-win streak to prove it. Brian Myers is on the way up in IMPACT Wrestling, and a win over Edwards would put another notch on his belt. Meanwhile, Eddie likely has designs on the IMPACT World Championship following his victory over Sami Callihan.

Tenille Dashwood (w/Kaleb with a K) vs. Rosemary (w/Crazzy Steve)

On the January 12th episode of IMPACT Wrestling, Tenille Dashwood faced Rosemary in singles competition. As usual, Dashwood’s personal photographer Kaleb with a K, was ringside with his camera. Throughout the match, Kaleb tried to give Dashwood as much of an upper hand as possible. At one point, he sprayed hairs product into Rosemary’s eyes. Crazzy Steve appeared towards the end of the match, seemingly out of nowhere, to put an end to Tenille and Kaleb’s cheating ways. The following weekend at Hard To Kill, Dashwood and Kaleb faced Rosemary and Crazzy Steve in an intergender tag team match. Following their victory, it seems that Rosemary and Crazzy Steve have reunited as The Decay. However, we’ll have to wait to see them in tag team action again, as this week will feature a rematch between Tenille Dashwood and Rosemary. However, this time, they both have a man in their corner.

Matt Hardy and Private Party To Appear

Last week on IMPACT Wrestling, Private Party and their manager “Big Money” Matt Hardy challenged Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson for the IMPACT Tag Team Championships. However, Chris Sabin and his impromptu tag team partner James Storm had already challenged The Good Brothers for their titles. Doc Gallows suggested Private Party and the Beer City Machine Guns square off in a #1 Contender’s Match. Kassidy and Quen won that match, meaning they’ll be facing The Good Brothers on February 13th at No Surrender. But before then, we’ll be hearing from Matt Hardy and Private Party about their plans in IMPACT Wrestling. Find out what they have to say on Tuesday’s IMPACT Wrestling.

Joe Doering (w/VBD) vs Cousin Jake

This week in Violent By Design’s war against the IMPACT Wrestling roster, Joe Doering faces Cousin Jake in his singles debut. Doering is a powerful man, which poses a daunting task for Cousin Jake. Making matters worse, Doering has Eric Young and Deaner in his corner. However, should Violent By Design start playing the numbers game, we may see Cousin Jake get back up from Rhino and Tommy Dreamer. But with Rhino injured after Doering’s assault on his knee last week, could we see some surprise backup?

Ace Austin & Madman Fulton vs. Josh Alexander & Matt Cardona

Earlier this month at Genesis, Ace Austin returned after nearly 4 months away to compete in the Super X Cup tournament. The young high flyer tried to insert himself into the X-Division championship match at Hard to Kill. IMPACT Wrestling executive VP Scott D’Amore wouldn’t let that happen, however, and offered Austin a new challenge. Ace Austin accepted the challenge and faced a debuting Matt Cardona. The match seemed to be starting well when Austin’s henchman Madman Fulton caused a DQ finish. This week Matt Cardona seeks to finish his business with Austin & Fulton by teaming with former IMPACT Tag Team Champion Josh Alexander. Fresh off his split with former partner Ethan Page, it seems Alexander isn’t finished with the tag team division. But just what may come of his partnership with Matt Cardona?
