Brace for IMPACT for 1/12/21 (Hard To Kill Go-Home Show)

On Saturday night, IMPACT Wrestling is out to start their PPV calendar with a bang, but we have one last stop before Hard to Kill. On Tuesday night, we’ll see a number of appetizers before the main course on Saturday night. Among them is a rare champion vs. champion match. Without any further ado, here’s a breakdown of Tuesday night’s card in this week’s Brace for IMPACT for 1/12/21.

Last week on IMPACT Wrestling, Cody Deaner debuted a new name and a new look as part of his alliance with Eric Young and Joe Doering. Deaner then took Eric Young’s place in a tag team match, joining Joe Doering to defeat Rhino & Cousin Jake. Following the match, the newly formed trio assaulted Rhino and Cousin Jake before Tommy Dreamer came out swinging a kendo stick. After driving off Eric Young’s posse, The Innovator of Violence took to the mic, challenging the trio to a 6-man tag team match at Hard to Kill, to be held under old school rules. On Tuesday night, we’ll see Deaner take on Tommy Dreamer in singles action. However, with their teammates in their respective corners, will they be able to control themselves? Or will this match turn into an all-out brawl?

Tenille Dashwood (w/Kaleb with a K) vs. Rosemary

After failing out of the Knockouts Tag Team Championship Tournament and feuding with partner Alisha, Tenille Dashwood is out to climb the ladder in the singles division in 2021. In her first match of the year, she faces Rosemary. Likewise, Rosemary also came up short in the tag team tournament with her partner Taya Valkyrie, losing to Kiera Hogan & Tasha Steelz on December 15th. On top of that, The Demon Assassin also lost her Knockouts Championship match against Deonna Purrazzo at Turning Point. A high-profile win over Tenille Dashwood would prevent her from falling down the card. However, could Kaleb’s involvement prove to be the x-factor? Find out Tuesday night on IMPACT Wrestling.

Kimber Lee (w/Deonna Purrazzo) vs. Taya Valkyrie (w/Rosemary)

Last week on IMPACT Wrestling, Deonna Purrazzo took to the ring with her protege Kimber Lee to tout her accomplishments in 2020. Less than a month after her debut in IMPACT Wrestling, Purrazzo captured the Knockouts Championship from Jordynne Grace. In August, she defeated Grace again in the first Ironwoman match in IMPACT history. As The Virtuosa extolled her accomplishments, Taya Valkyrie and Rosemary took to the ring. Taya explained that while Purrazzo made several major accomplishments last year, she’s still not at Taya’s level. Valkyrie holds the record for the longest reign as Knockouts Champion, holding the belt for 377 days.

Last week on IMPACT Wrestling, Rich Swann, Alex Shelley, and Chris Sabin confronted Kenny Omega, Doc Gallows, and Karl Anderson ahead of their 6-man tag match this Saturday. Swann and The Motor City Machine Guns were spoiling for a fight outside The AEW World Champion’s trailer when he and The Good Brothers sprang from the shadows. With the element of surprise, Omega and the IMPACT Tag Team Champions laid out The IMPACT World Champion and MCMG. During the beatdown, they held the AEW World Championship belt in front of Swann, telling him it was the real world championship. Tuesday night, The IMPACT World Champion has the opportunity to get some vengeance. We have a rare champion vs. champion match as IMPACT World Champion Rich Swann takes on IMPACT Tag Team Champion Karl Anderson.
