AEW Rampage for 6/3/22 (Sky vs Martin)

This week’s preview of AEW Rampage for 6/3/22 comes on the heels of an electric edition of AEW Dynamite. It features three matches, including a debut match and a championship title match. Often leading into an episode, there is little if any buzz about a moment that fans want to talk about but commentating won’t. We’re alluding to the MJF promo that fans are talking about.

So while social media is a buzz about the moment, surprisingly silent after a return from commercial was Excalibur, Jim Ross, and Tony Schiavone addressed the segment prior to the promo. So will there be some mention of MJF’s promo on AEW Rampage for 6/3/22? Tune in this Friday to find out.

Kiera Hogan vs. Athena

This past Sunday’s edition of Double or Nothing saw the debut of the Fallen Goddess. After a momentary wonder of who that is, the appearance of Athena reminded fans that ‘Ember Moon’ is back! She is a welcomed addition to the AEW Women’s locker room. Her experience is an important asset for them to have in the company. She stands across the ring from Kiera Hogan, who has also seen her share of success.

Hogan captured titles during her time in IMPACT. However, in AEW, it appears that Hogan’s place is alongside TBS Champion Jade Cargill as part of the Baddies section. So how will Hogan fair against the debuting ‘Fallen Goddess’ Athena?

Lucha Brothers vs. Young Bucks

Whenever these two teams face each other, there is always a reason to be excited. These four men have repeatedly put on exciting match after match when facing one another. In fact, the Lucha Brothers defeated the Young Bucks for the AEW Tag Team Championship during their pay-per-view match against one another. Whenever brothers face one another, fans can assume that the most significant trust is with the person that you’ve known your entire life.

With that said, this match is among the matches for a Friday night show that typically appears at 10 pm, when most may not be watching. It should be commended that when a match is scheduled, when fans can watch them and enjoy a match it may not matter what time it takes place or which show. With this match taking place at this timeslot and recorded earlier, fans will likely see a finished product.

Does this mark a new direction for the Lucha Brothers as their feud with House of Black may be over?

TNT Championship
Scorpio Sky (c) vs. Dante Martin

We saw how Scorpio Sky would move on as the TNT Champion on this past week’s episode of Dynamite. Sky will now face an emerging talent in the young and promising Dante Martin. While Martin’s position between singles and tag team has been a bit muddled over the past few months, it now feels like this could be his new place. So while we could see this as a one-and-done match between Sky and Martin, it doesn’t have to be that way.

Sky’s time and run with the title could be meaningful now, and if that is the case, look out. However, as Sky has described in his own words, he sees the TNT Championship as a workrate title that allows for the champion and challengers that contend for it to have competitive matches. This can very well be the first match in that direction as he steps in against Dante Martin.

What To Expect:

  • Hangman Page addresses the audience after losing his AEW World Championship
  • Who becomes the next threat for the AEW World Tag Team Championship against Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy?
  • Will someone else step up soon to face Thunder Rosa for the AEW Women’s Championship?
