AEW Rampage for 11/11/22 (AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament)

On Friday, November 11th, AEW Rampage for 11/11/22 features four matches. As Full Gear is a week away, most of these matches have implications for the next contender for the AEW Championship. At the same time, we know that MJF will face Jon Moxley for the AEW Championship.

What we don’t know yet is who will the winner of the AEW Championship match face in the winner of the World Title Eliminator Tournament. With all the attention on this week’s episode paid to three World Title Eliminator Tournament matches it will also showcase a title match for the AEW All-Atlantic title.

Brian Cage vs. Dante Martin

On this past week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, we heard the build between the Machine Brian Cage and Dante leading up to their match this coming Friday. It is great to see both of these talents being featured more recently on AEW television. With Darius Martin still out of commission, fans are seeing once again what had made Dante Martin such a special talent.

He also will stand across the ring from someone that has all the tools to be a champion in the Machine Brian Cage. Both men need a win here, but with Cage appearing on-screen more recently a win, the Machine feels as though it may be what is to be expected this week.

Orange Cassidy (c) vs. Lee Johnson

In a match that came about just this week, it’s surprising to see Johnson be granted a title opportunity so suddenly. While it was accepted in typical Orange Cassidy fashion, it is still peculiar, considering Johnson just returned to action and is almost immediately given an opportunity at the title.

What could add something to this match is that the likes of Pac not straying too far from this reign of Cassidy’s. The two happen to make the perfect foils for one another as their personalities are essentially polar opposites of one another. Will this match prove to be a bout that makes people stand up and take notice of Lee Johnson? Or will Cassidy once again prove that any challenger that stands in his way is just…whatever?

Lance Archer vs. Ricky Starks

In a backstage interview segment, Alex Marez was attempting to conduct an interview with Absolute Ricky Starks. The problem was that the interview was immediately met with an interruption by the Murderhawk Monster. All indications were Archer beat down Starks prior to the interview was set to take place.

By the time fans did see the segment, Archer stood over top of Starks and proceeded to ram his head against the garage door behind him. With Starks recent issues with his former tag team partner and friend, Powerhouse Hobbs, it feels as though they will continue to have Absolute be a giant slayer of sorts.

Bandido vs. Rush

Former Ring of Honor Champions collide in this AEW World Title Eliminator matchup. Fans will recall that both men have fAEW’stwo of AEW’s biggest stars in Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley in singles action. We have seen what both men can do and also have heard what they plan to do as this tournament moves forward.

In the case of Rush, we have seen him offer 10 a future World title opportunity if he’s successful. Although Bandido is a man of mystery and isn’t too far removed for making challenges himself if he was to become the winner of the world title eliminator tournament. Neither man are strangers to one another and this match will prove that. Expect both Rush and Bandido to come at one another full tilt.

What To Expect:

  • Self-Proclaimed TBS Champion Nyla Rose issues an ‘open challenge’ for the TBS Championship.
  • Jungle Boy has a challenge to issue face to face for the tandem of Luchasaurus and Christian Cage.
  • The fallout of the confrontation between Saraya and Britt Baker from Dynamite is addressed.
