We will see Ruby Soho take on The Bunny, and we will see CM Punk take on Matt Sydal. There has been quite a bit of action going down on Rampage so far since the show’s debut earlier this year. We have seen debuts of wrestlers, we have seen titles change hands, and we have seen contracts given. This week’s edition of AEW Rampage shouldn’t be any different. So let’s discuss the matches for this week.

Bobby Fish vs. Lee Moriarty

First up on the pre-show, we will see the recently debuting Bobby Fish take on Lee Moriarty. We have seen Lee Moriarty wrestle previously in AEW. Bobby Fish, however, just recently made his AEW debut, and so far, his record is 0-1. However, Fish is definitely an accomplished wrestler, and while he is new to AEW, he is not new to the sport. Moriarty’s record in All Elite is also not in his favor; however, outside of AEW on the independent circuit, he does shine.

That being said, this match could go either way, without a doubt. Will we see Bobby Fish pick up the win and tie his record, or will we see Moriarty walk away with the victory this time and pick up his first win this year? Moriarty is also not officially signed to AEW, so could a win could get him closer to a contract with the promotion?

Bryan Danielson vs. Minoru Suzuki

This match is undoubtedly one that wrestling fans are looking forward to. Bryan Danielson and Minoru Suzuki have wrestled each other before, but this will be the first time in an AEW Ring. The one additional time they went against each other, Danielson came up short, and then any other time they faced each other was in tag team action. Both of these men are definitely accomplished and tenured wrestlers in the business.

Both men have also held numerous championships throughout their careers. So this match should be intense and action-packed. One thing is for sure since Danielson came up short in his first bout with Suzuki, you can imagine he isn’t going to want to do that twice. So will we see Minoru Suzuki pull off another win over Danielson, or will they end up one and one? Either way, this will be a match not to miss.

The Bunny vs. Ruby Soho

From the AEW Women’s Division, we will see The Bunny take on Ruby Soho. Ruby has definitely made a splash since arriving in AEW, and she does not appear to be done yet. At the same time, her singles record is 1-1; she can still pick up momentum easily. The Bunny has a pretty strong record with 9-5. Over the last few weeks, she has had some very strong matches. Both these women definitely could be contenders for the women’s championship, no doubt about that.

Ruby did recently have a shot after her win in the Women’s Casino Battle Royale, but we saw her title shot to come up short; there is no way she wants that to be her last shot. The Bunny has yet to hold the championship either, so this match could undoubtedly be pivotal on either of these ladies’ journeys to the championship. Can Ruby regain momentum and take the victory, or will The Bunny come out victorious?

Trios Tag Team Match
The Inner Circle (Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara, and Jake Hager) vs. Men of The Year (Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page) & Junior Dos Santos w/ Dan Lambert and Jorge Masvidal

In other action, we will see The Inner Circle (Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara, and Jake Hager) take on Men of the Year and Junior Dos Santos accompanied by Dan Lambert and Jorge Masvidal. We have seen Men of the Year and their buddies causing a commotion in recent weeks, and this match is certainly the culmination of some of that chaos. We haven’t seen The Inner Circle in tag team action in a while. But this week, they will be back together, taking on the Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page with Junior Dos Santos.

We have seen Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page with Dan Lambert making some waves in the tag team division, and then not too long ago, Junior Dos Santos and Jorge Masvidal were brought into the equation. Will the Inner Circle be able to function well again as a tag team and defeat Men of the Year and Dos Santos, or will we see Lambert’s associates overcome the Inner Circle?

 CM Punk vs. Matt Sydal

Once again, we will see the veteran CM Punk in action on Rampage. However, this time we will see CM Punk take on Matt Sydal, who has also been in the business for quite a while. We saw this match come together when Lio Rush confronted CM Punk backstage and said he had an opponent for Punk and indicated that person would be Matt Sydal. These two have faced each other before, but it has been a very long time since they have been in the ring together.

This will be their first time wrestling each other in AEW. It will be interesting to see the dynamic between these two in the ring after so long. Sydal has been in action over the years, but Punk is still coming off of his seven-year absence with the exception of a couple of matches now. Will Sydal be able to put an end to CM Punk’s current undefeated streak, or will we see Punk continue on his way?

What to Expect?

  • Will we see Bryan Danielson pick up a solo win over Minoru Suzuki?
  • Will Ruby Soho earn a victory and try for another shot for the AEW Women’s World Championship?
  • Will CM Punk be able to keep his winning streak up?
