This week’s preview of AEW Rampage for 10/14/22 comes on the heels of an exciting edition of AEW Dynamite. AEW has arrived north of the border with two shows taking place back to back. Four matches were announced to take place for Rampage.
These matches include one where contracts are on the line, another where a fake champion is defending a title that doesn’t belong to her, a third is a trios match where the winners ultimately want a tag team championship opportunity. The final one pits a long-time tag team against to successful singles competitors.
When we think about it sure is a strange night for pointing out details. Here is our AEW Rampage for 10/14/22 preview below.
AEW Rampage for 10/14/22
Nyla Rose vs. Anna Jay A.S
One of the most amusing things hasn’t necessarily been Nyla Rose’s theft of the TBS Championship. Instead, it’s been her activity on social media with the title. Not unlike a parent taking their child or pet around showcasing all the different places they are with the title, Rose has managed to make it quite fun to watch.
But this past week on Dynamite, Anna Jay A.S approached Rose for the title, which Rose accepted. It’s odd that this even going to go on without a hitch. Jade Cargill won’t sit back idly and let her title be ‘defended’ when it didn’t even belong to Rose in the first place.
Will Cargill make an appearance, or will the title remain in Nyla Rose or Anna Jay A.S’s hands?

Ethan Page with Stokely Hathaway vs. Isiah Kassidy
As seen on his past week’s edition of AEW Dynamite, a backstage segment led to this match taking place. What is good about this match is that the stipulation here is if Kassidy wins, then Private Party are free from their contracts under Stokely Hathaway. But the catch here is if Page wins, then Matt Hardy’s contract also will belong to The Firm.
For a self-made man, champion, and mentor to run to the potential of having to be told what to do by those younger than him could be quite humiliating for Matt Hardy. The risk/reward may be too great for a long-time tag member to succeed in a singles match. Page has everything going for him, and a win here only furthers the stranglehold that The Firm has in AEW.

Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli vs. The Butcher and the Blade with The Bunny
The Blackpool Combat Club is in action, taking on two members of Andrade’s Family Office. They do this minus Andrade, it seems. With what recently took place with Private Party’s contracts being bought by The Firm’s Stokely Hathaway and Ethan Page, one has to wonder if the same applies to the Butcher and the Blade.
Two underrated yet accomplished talents with the Bunny in tow look to get the better of Moxley and Castagnoli. Traditional booking suggests the long-standing tag team would win. But in this case, they face to current or former World Champions. Will this be a case where Moxley and Castagnoli show their opponents what the true act of violence is all about?
It doesn’t look all that good for the Butcher and the Blade going into this match.

The Pinnacle vs. The Embassy with Prince Nana
On this past week’s edition of AEW Dynamite, we saw FTR come out and go face-to-face with the Gates of Agony. Upon doing so, they had a third man by their ‘The Machine,’ Brian Cage, with them. At this point, Harwood and Wheeler asked what time Rampage is on? The answer was 10!
That brought out Ontario native Shawn Spears, who would hold up his ten fingers as a sign of what he used to do during his time in the WWE. However, it doesn’t appear as though he is using the Chairman persona anymore. It also seems as though he and Wardlow have no ill feelings towards each other lingering from Wardlow’s previous feud with MJF.
Will a win here by the Embassy put them in line once again for the ROH Tag Team Championships? Or will a win here help elevate FTR to compete again for the AEW World Tag Team Championships? Tune in Friday to see.
