It is time for Fight for the Fallen! AEW has decided to have another pay-per-view quality card just a week after Fyter Fest ended. This year Fight for the Fallen is a fundraiser for COVID-19 relief in Northern Florida. This year’s card has titles matches, excellent tag matches, and a main event months in the making. It should be a lot of fun and we all need that in these times. Let us look at tonight’s card for Fight for the Fallen. We present AEW Fight for the Fallen 2020 preview.

    We’ll Hear From Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho has to be feeling pretty good after defeating Orange Cassidy at AEW Fyter Fest in an excellent main event last week. It was a much-needed win for Jericho and the Inner Circle after a series of setbacks. It now seems he has something to say at Fight for the Fallen.

What could it possibly be? Will it simply be to gloat about beating Orange Cassidy? Or will Jericho be setting up his next feud with All Out which is only a few months away? Whatever he has to say, it will be entertaining with one of the best talkers in professional wrestling.

    The Nightmare Sisters in Action

Brandi Rhodes & Allie are not exactly the best of friends. Ever since Allie has pushed her way into the Natural Nightmares tag team, Brandi has been suspicious of the former Bunny. They will be in tag team action for the first time on AEW Dynamite.

The two have had a few matches on AEW Dark together with some success. But they haven’t really been on the same page. How will the two work together in their biggest match to date?

AEW Fight for the Fallen 2020

The Elite (Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson, & Nick Jackson) vs. The Jurassic Express (Luchasaurus, Jungle Boy, Marko Stunt)

    Photo / AEW

The Elite is finally back together! Kenny Omega had a lot of success during Fyter Fest. His team successfully defended the AEW Tag Team Championship against The Best Friends and Private Party. The Young Bucks, on the other hand, shockingly lost their eight-man tag match last week. Can The Elite work well together again? These three haven’t been in six-man tag action together since New Year’s Day.

Their opponents, Jurassic Express, have a lot of experience as a six-man team. Jurassic Express is riding a lot of momentum as Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus picked up a big tag team victory at Fyter Fest. That win is arguably the biggest of Jurassic Express’ AEW Career. Can they pick up a bigger win on Wednesday night?

AEW Fight for the Fallen 2020

FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) vs. The Lucha Brothers (Pentagon Jr. & Rey Fenix)

    Photo / AEW

It was a shock last week when the dream team of FTR and The Young Bucks lost to Lucha Brothers and The Butcher & The Blade at Fyter Fest. It was miscommunication that gave FTR their first loss in All Elite Wrestling. They will have their chance to get some revenge at AEW Fight for the Fallen.

The Lucha Brothers are among the best tag teams in the world. The things Fenix is able to do in the ring defy logic. Fenix and his brother, Pentagon Jr., will be looking to continue their momentum and get back into the tag team title scene. This match has the possibility of stealing the show.

Cody (c) vs. Sonny Kiss (AEW TNT Championship Match)

Cody has had two weeks to recover from his brutal TNT Championship Match against Jake Hager. It is time, once again, for another TNT Championship Open Challenge. Arn Anderson has picked an interesting opponent for Cody at Fight for the Fallen, Sonny Kiss.

Sonny Kiss has spent a lot of his career in tag team matches on AEW Dark. In recent weeks, he has been involved in an entertaining tag team with Joey Janela. Sonny Kiss has a unique athleticism that he brings into all his matches. Cody had better watch out. This is the biggest match of Sonny Kiss’ career. He has nothing to lose and everything to gain. That is a dangerous proposition for the TNT Champion.

AEW Fight for the Fallen 2020

Jon Moxley (c) vs. FTW Champion “The Machine” Brian Cage (w/ Taz) (AEW World Championship Match)

It is finally time for the main event. After some Pandemic related delays, we finally get to see Jon Moxley versus Brian Cage for the AEW World Championship. Brian Cage made a shocking debut at AEW Double or Nothing to win the Casino Battle Royale. He wasted no time and demanded his title shot against Jon Moxley.

Brian Cage has been dominating all his completion of AEW Dynamite and AEW Dark for nearly two months now. He has also had Taz by his side as he has done so. Cage, the FTW Champion, seems ready to provide the biggest challenge to date for Jon Moxley’s Championship.

It is important to remember that Jon Moxley has had exactly one match, on AEW Dark, since retaining his title at AEW Double or Nothing against Brodie Lee. With all of his time away from the ring will he possibly be ready for such a formidable challenge like Brian Cage? It should be an excellent end to Fight For the Fallen card.
