AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 4/13/22 | (Minoru Suzuki vs. Samoa Joe)

After an all-time classic tag team match on last week’s Dynamite, what does AEW do for an encore? This week’s AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 4/13/22 is the start of a big week for All Elite Wrestling. We have Dynamite, a rare live AEW Rampage, and another Battle of the Belts. On Dynamite, we see Eddie Kingston’s group finally get their hands on the Jericho Appreciation Society.

We have the highly anticipated AEW World Tag Team Championship match. And we get to see Samoa Joe versus Minoru Suzuki too? It is going to be a special night. Let us find out more about the huge show in New Orleans in the latest edition of AEW Ignite.

MJF vs. Capt. Shawn Dean

On last week’s AEW Dynamite, Shawn Spears was cruising to an easy victory over Shawn Dean. That is until Wardlow made his presence known yet again. He wasn’t able to get to MJF, but the distraction cost Spears his match. On this week’s show, MJF has the opportunity to exact some revenge on two fronts.

While MJF will be watching out for Wardlow, he also has some history with Shawn Dean. The up-and-comer scored a victory over MJF back on January 5th, and it still sticks in MJF’s craw. So will MJF win the rematch on Wednesday night? He is certainly the favorite, but what if Wardlow shows up yet again? Could we see another embarrassing loss for Maxwell Jacob Friedman? It will be fun to find out.

Penta Oscuro vs. CM Punk

CM Punk has been looking for competition since AEW Revolution. He has asked to face the best AEW has to offer. But it is doubtful he expected the next challenge to be from Penta Oscuro.

Penta Oscuro has been quite dangerous since debuting this newest persona just a few weeks ago. He will be facing a motivated CM Punk. Punk knows any loss will derail his hopes of AEW gold. Will Penta be the one to pull off the huge victory?

Marina Shafir vs. Skye Blue

Marina Shafir has gone 4-0 on AEW Dark in 2022. This has gotten the attention of Jade Cargill, the AEW TBS Champion. She seems concerned about facing the former MMA fighter for her upcoming possible 30th victory in her AEW career.

On Wednesday night, Marina Sharif will make her AEW Dynamite debut. She will be facing Skye Blue. While Skye Blue will certainly be the underdog, she will be some tough competition for Shafir. And with Cargill waiting in the wings, can Shafir avoid the upset?

Keith Lee & Swerve Strickland vs. Ricky Starks & Powerhouse Hobbs

This feud has been heating up in recent weeks. Team Taz doesn’t seem to appreciate the two newest signings to All Elite Wrestling. In recent AEW Rampage matches, they have cheated their way to victories over Lee and Strickland in singles action. After a wild brawl on last week’s show, it is time for a huge tag team match.

Ricky Starks and Powerhouse Hobbs have had bragging rights in recent weeks. Can Lee and Strickland regain the momentum in this feud? We know Team Taz will go to any length to pull off the victory in New Orleans. Can Lee and Swerve overcome the daunting odds?

Eddie Kingston, Santana & Ortiz vs. Chris Jericho, Jake Hager & Daniel Garcia

The Jericho Appreciation Society has been dominant since their debut as a group in early March. In particular, they have set their sights on Eddie Kingston, Santana, and Ortiz. The JAS has used the numbers advantage to take out their three rivals time and time again. Will that change on Wednesday night in New Orleans?

On AEW Dynamite, Eddie Kingston, Santana, and Ortiz will get three members of JAS in a huge six-man tag team match. But will it actually be three or three? With Matt Menard and Angelo Parker at ringside, the odds of interference seems high. This seems closer to the beginning of this personal feud and not the end.

(AEW World Tag Team Championship Match)

At AEW Revolution, Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus retained their tag team titles in an epic triple threat match. One of those losing teams, reDRagon, has continued to set their sights on the champions. They will get a chance for a traditional tag team title match on Wednesday night.

Can Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus hold onto their tag team title? It is undoubtedly a daunting challenge for the champions to face one of the best tag teams in the world. It should be a classic match between two outstanding teams. Will Christian or Adam Cole play a factor as well? It will be fun to find out.

Minoru Suzuki shocked the world by winning the ROH World Television Title at the Ring of Honor Supercard of Honor. The 53-year-old Suzuki is arguably one of the toughest wrestlers in the world. So who does he face for his first challenge? Why it’s only Samoa Joe!

This is a dream match-up in real life. Expect it to be hard-hitting and quite physical. The brawling style of both wrestlers should lead to a classic match on Wednesday night. Can Samoa Joe win his first-ever ROH World Television Championship? It is hard to predict, but this match’s true winners will be the AEW fans.

What Else To Expect:

  • Who will qualify next for the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament?
  • When will Adam Cole and Hangman Page have to say before their massive Texas Death Match on Friday night?
  • Will we learn more about “Battle of the Belts?”
