AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 3/9/22 | (Guevara vs. Sky)

What comes after an incredible AEW Revolution as we preview AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 3/9/22?

After another successful AEW pay-per-view last Sunday night in Orlando, the anticipation is high. We had multiple surprises, excellent debuts, and truly memorable matches. So what will be the fallout on this week’s AEW Dynamite?

We have some great matches for this week’s show that can continue the momentum from Orlando on March 6th. We have a huge number one contender’s match, another face-to-face showdown between two of the best in AEW, and a AEW TNT Championship match. Let us find out more about the huge show in Estero in the latest edition of AEW Ignite.

Leyla Hirsch vs. Thunder Rosa
(AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator)

The stakes are high in this intriguing match. Leyla Hirsch is coming off a huge victory at the AEW Revolution Buy-in. Granted, she cheated to defeat Kris Statlander, but the result was the same. She picked up an important victory over her rival.

Her opponent on Wednesday night is Thunder Rosa. Rosa is coming off a heartbreaking loss to Britt Baker on AEW Revolution. It took the help of Jamie Hayter and Rebel, but it was still a massive disappointment to Thunder Rosa. It is time for redemption.

The Hirsch and Rosa match winner will get a AEW Women’s World Championship match at St. Patrick’s Day Slam. St. Patrick’s Day Slam is where Thunder Rosa defeated Britt Baker in a classic Lights Out Match. Can Thunder Rosa takedown Leyla Hirsch and get another shot at glory? It will be a memorable match at St. Patrick’s Day Slam if she can.

Chris Jericho Addresses Eddie Kingston

At AEW Revolution, Eddie Kingston finally did it. He won the big one when he made Chris Jericho tap out in the exciting opening match. Jericho promised to shake Kingston’s hand if Eddie won on Sunday night. He refused to do so to the boos of the crowd.

On this week’s AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho has promised to address Eddie Kingston. Will he explain his actions from AEW Revolution and apologize? Will he actually shake Kingston’s hands-on Wednesday night? Hopefully, all these questions will be answered this week.

Sammy Guevara (c) vs. Scorpio Sky
(AEW TNT Championship)

It is title versus streak! Sammy Guevara survived a brutal trios match at AEW Revolution. But, will the damage he endured on Sunday night have lasting effects on the “Spanish God”? He better hope not because he has a potentially difficult two-week stretch coming up.

The first test is this week against Scorpio Sky. Scorpio Sky has not been defeated in singles action in over a year. This allowed Dan Lambert to get Sky this opportunity on Wednesday night. A rested Scorpio Sky versus a potentially wounded Guevara seems ripe for an upset.

And what is the reward for the winner of this TNT Championship match? Another TNT title match against Wardlow at next week’s St. Patrick’s Day Slam. The stakes are certainly high for the TNT Champion the next two weeks.

What To Expect:

  • Will MJF have to say about Wardlow’s action at AEW Revolution?
  • What is next for Hangman Page after defending the AEW World Championship?
  • Are Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson allies now thanks to William Regal?
