Hangman Adam Page vs. Kip Sabian

Hangman Page was having an interview with Renee Paquette on last week’s AEW Rampage when he was interrupted by Kip Sabian. Page shoved Sabian and left. It led to a match on this week’s AEW Dynamite.

Sabian has had some success since returning from a long injury a few months ago.  But Page is certainly in a foul mood after his recent loss to Jon Moxley. Is Sabian going to be in the wrong place at the wrong time?

Mark Briscoe vs. Josh Woods

A few weeks ago on AEW Dynamite, Mark Briscoe made an emotional debut to defeat Jay Lethal and honor his late brother Jay Briscoe. It was certainly a moment pro wrestling fans will remember for a long, long time.

As Briscoe was reflecting on the special moment in an interview on AEW Rampage, Mark Sterling interrupted to offer to help Briscoe make money in his career. Then Josh Woods got into Mark Briscoe’s face as well. It sets up an interesting match-up between the two Ring of Honor veterans. Can Briscoe keep his momentum going?

Renee Paquette Speaks w/ Adam Cole

Adam Cole made an emotional return on the Los Angeles AEW Dynamite. He had been suffering from concussion issues since June’s AEW Forbidden Door and he finally announced his return on that massive show. But we haven’t heard a lot from Adam Cole since that January night.

That will change on Wednesday night. Adam Cole will have an interview with Renee Paquette. What will we learn from Cole? Will we finally see his in-ring return very soon? It could be quite an interesting interview for sure.

Brian Cage vs. “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry

Jungle Boy has had some success in recent months in singles action and in tag team  action with Hook. On AEW Rampage, he defeated Ryan Nemeth in one minute. As the match ended, Brian Cage arrived on the stage to do some trash talking.

This sets up an interesting match for AEW Dynamite. It is certainly a clash of styles. Can Jack Perry deal with the power of Brian Cage? It will be another difficult test for the 25 year old Jungle Boy.

Wardlow Sit Down Interview w/ Jim Ross

As Samoa Joe won the TNT Championship just two weeks ago, he didn’t have much time to celebrate. Wardlow, who Joe had previously defeated for the Championship, returned after a lengthy absence to challenge Joe yet again. There is no rest for the new champion it seems.

On Wednesday night, Wardlow speaks with Jim Ross for the first time. What will he have to say after his long absence from the ring? When will he face Samoa Joe yet again? A lot of questions will need to be answered for sure.

Orange Cassidy, The Acclaimed & “Daddy Ass” Billy Gunn vs. Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal, Satnam Singh & Sonjay Dutt

At the end of last week’s AEW All-Atlantic Championship on Rampage, Orange Cassidy was attacked yet again by Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal and Satnam Singh. This time he got help from an unlikely source. The former AEW World Tag Team Champions of the Acclaimed and Billy Gunn.

It sets up an interesting eight-man tag team match this week. Will Orange Cassidy be ready to end the feud with Team Lethal once and for all? The other big question to consider is will the Acclaimed be ready for another match after losing the Tag Team titles in heartbreaking fashion just last week? It could be a fun match in Laredo.

Toni Storm vs. Ruby Soho vs. Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.

Toni Storm and Saraya have been terrorizing the AEW Women’s Division for weeks. They certainly don’t have any respect for the “homegrown” talent in AEW. Needless to say, the rest of the AEW Women’s Division has taken major offense.

It is time for a huge Triple Threat match on AEW Dynamite. Baker and Soho have been the main targets of Storm and Saraya in recent weeks. Can Baker and Soho put their past differences aside and take out Toni Storm? The AEW Women’s division is certainly becoming more personal in recent weeks.

Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli vs. RUSH & Preston Vance
(Texas Tornado Tag Team Match)

RUSH didn’t take his loss to Bryan Danielson well last week. He and his allies in La Faccion Ingobernable attacked Danielson post-match. The rest of the members of Blackpool Combat Club took that personally.

On Wednesday night, La Faccion Ingobernalbe faces Blackpool Combat Club in a Texas Tornado Tag Team match. We haven’t seen Moxley and Castagnoli work together a lot in recent weeks? Are they on the same page? It could just determine the outcome of this big match.

What To Expect:

  • Will we hear from the Gunns after their shocking win last week?
  • Will Bryan Danielson be in Laredo?
  • What is next for the Elite after their AEW World Trios title defense?
