The leaves are changing colour as we preview AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 10/28/26. The nights are getting longer.
The candy is half price. I think we all know what that means. Halloween is upon us, and in AEW that means it’s time for Fright Night Dynamite!
On this show, we will have some spook-tacular match-ups with huge ramifications for AEW Full Gear. Wednesday night’s Halloween special will feature two mid-card title defenses, as the TNT and TBS championships are up for grabs.
We’s also seethe pivotal third match in the Best of 5 Series between Motor City Machine Guns and FTR. It should be another fun night in All Elite Wrestling.
Let us learn more about this spooky night in St. Louis in the latest edition of AEW Ignite.
AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 10/28/26
Persephone (c) vs. Queen Aminata
(TBS Championship)
On last week’s AEW Dynamite, Queen Aminata defeated Maya World in a competitive ten-minute match. This earned Queen Aminata another title shot against the TBS Champion Persephone.
She came up short in the fatal 4-way match at WrestleDream, but could a singles match be just the opportunity she needs?
Persephone has been a fighting champion since winning the title at AEW All In in late August. It certainly hasn’t hurt that she has Britt Baker in her corner.
Will Persephone hold on yet again or will Queen Aminata finally get her breakthrough title in St. Louis? It certainly seems like Wednesday might finally be the Queen’s time.

Darby Allin (c) vs. Josh Alexander
(TNT Championship)
Josh Alexander returned to the Don Callis Family on September 2nd .Coming off of injury leave, he immediately attacked TNT Champion Darby Allin.
Following a string of victories on Collision, The Walking Weapon issued a challenge for the TNT Championship. Darby Allin doesn’t back down from challenges.
Despite holding a singles title, Darby Allin has been distracted by tag team action recently. Between his newly-formed tag team with Steven Borden, and their upcoming appearance in the Blood & Guts match in just one week, can he be truly focused in hist title defense against Josh Alexander?
Darby’s always willing to throw caution to the wind, but will that be enough to hold onto the TNT championship this week?

Motor City Machine Guns vs. FTR –
Best of Five Series (1-1)
With the series tied 1-1, the Best of 5 Series between Motor City Machine Guns and FTR is still anyone’s game. But a third match is a chance to gain some momentum.
Motor City Machine Guns joined AEW in late July of this year, adding more star power to an already-stacked tag team division.
On the October 14th edition of AEW Dynamite, they challenged FTR to a Best of 5 Series. The winning team will likely find themselves in contention for the tag championships.
Motor City Machine Guns took the first win in an epic twenty-six-minute match at WrestleDream. On this past Saturday’s AEW Collision, FTR returned the favor, in an upset, scoring the winning fall with feet on the ropes.
It’s anybody’s game on Fright Night Dynamite. Both teams are among the most technically gifted in the industry, but it seems FTR are willing to cut corners to win matches. Could they pull a similar trick on Wednesday night?
What Else To Expect:
- What will happen between Marina Shafir and Mercedes Moné on this week’s show?
- Will we learn more about Blood & Guts?
- Will we learn more about AEW Full Gear matches?
- Will there even be anything particularly spooky? It’s Halloween, dammit!
