AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 05/29/24 (Forbidden Door Casino Gauntlet )

All Elite Wrestling is coming off its latest pay-per-view, Double or Nothing, as we preview AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 05/29/24. It was a wild night in Las Vegas, for sure.

The crowd also witnessed two title changes, a brutal Steel Cage Match and Anarchy in the Arena that will be remembered for years to come.  We had a wrestler on fire!

This week’s AEW Dynamite will try to continue the momentum of Sunday night. We are now on the Road to Forbidden Door! This week’s show will have the AEW World Champion in action along with determining his Number One Contender.

And will some New Japan wrestlers show up as well? Let us find out more about this interesting card in Los Angeles in the latest edition of AEW Ignite.

The Debut of TV Time with “The Learning Tree” Chris Jericho

At AEW Double or Nothing, FTW Champion Chris Jericho was able to defeat his title in a brutal Three Way Match against Hook and Katsuyori Shibata.

It is very important to point out he needed a lot of help from Big Bill and “The Bounty Hunter” Bryan Keith to pick up the victory on Sunday night. But “The Learning Tree” certainly retained his FTW title in the end.

On Wednesday night, we will witness the debut of TV Time with Chris Jericho. What will “The Learning Tree” have to say in Los Angeles? He certainly has shown a more smarmy side in the recent weeks.

Will that be on full display on AEW Dynamite? It will be interesting to see where Jericho goes next and who will join “The Learning Tree” next.

Forbidden Door Casino Gauntlet

As one pay-per-view ends, it is quickly time to get ready for the next one! And what better way to determine the next challenger for the AEW World Championship than with a Casino Gauntlet? Who will be fighting Swerve Strickland at Forbidden Door for the World title?

The Casino Gauntlet is certainly always a chaotic affair. We don’t yet even know how many people will be in the Gauntlet match.

But having a challenger for the World Championship picked out a full month before Forbidden Door will certainly lead to some compelling television.

Swerve Strickland vs. Killswitch

At Double or Nothing, Swerve Strickland defended the AEW World Title against Christian Cage in an impressive twenty-five-minute match.

The Patriarchy certainly tried to sway the final outcome, but it was ultimately unsuccessful. The AEW World Championship remained firmly in “Swerve’s House” in Las Vegas.

On AEW Dynamite, Strickland is not done with the Patriarchy it seems.  He will face the Patriarchy’s Killswitch on Wednesday night. Can he overcome the group yet again?

The odds are certainly going to be against the champion in Los Angeles. And will Christian Cage himself seek revenge? A lot of questions will start to be answered on Wednesday night.

What To Expect:

  • What is next for the TNT Championship after Adam Copeland’s injury at Double or Nothing?
  • What will the Elite do next after winning Anarchy in the Arena on Sunday night?
  • Will we begin to learn more about AEW Forbidden Door?
  • Will we hear from the MJF after his shocking return at Double or Nothing?
  • Will we hear the new AEW International Champion, Will Ospreay?
  • Will we hear from the new AEW TBS Champion, Mercedes Moné?
  • What comes next for Willow Nightingale after Kris Statlander’s shocking betrayal?
