Harlow O Hara | Indie Spotlight Watch

In ancient Greece, they referred to deities of vengeance as the furies. A fierce and vengeful Fury is about to descend on Women of Wrestling (WOW). This emerald haired goddess can be serene and can also be a Tasmanian Devil. Fury has forged a sisterhood and bond with another Superhero, Razor. Together they are the Psycho Sisters. When these forces combine, what untold horrors will be unleashed? You’ll have to tune into WOW on AXS TV to find out. The woman behind Fury is also a goddess, a priestess, Harlow O Hara.

The leader of the Church of Harlow debuted in wrestling in 2017 after training under Robert Gibson. Her character is extremely unique in today’s wrestling. She is a gothic religious figure, complete with a halo-like crown. Harlow is an imposing woman with a definite presence. She’s competed for promotions such as Over the Top Wrestling, NOVA Pro Wrestling, Limitless Wrestling and Alternate Wrestling Syndicate (AWS). Harlow is also the current reigning and defending Battle Club Pro Icon Champion. How appropriate for the patron saint of the Church of Harlow.

Harlow O Hara

Harlow has also become a part of the Women’s Wrestling Revolution and Blackcraft Wrestling rosters. In Blackcraft, she is a member of the group The Essence. The Essence is comprised of Harlow, Viperess and Saraya Knight. She is also a former Anarchy Women’s Champion. Harlow also participated in the 2018 Anarchy Championship Wrestling Joshi Queen of Queen’s tournament. The priestess has also had the opportunity to share the ring with some of the best women’s wrestlers in the world. She has faced Mia Yim, Jessicka Havok, Kimber Lee, Jordynne Grace, and others.

O’Hara is probably best known on the independent scene for the video she released just over one year ago. This marked the entering the age of #BØRNAGAIN to her character. Harlow put a lot of work into this video from creating the concept of writing it, selecting a team, and filming it. The character of Harlow O Hara is heavily influenced by her own interests in things like magic and crystal healing. She is also a fan of the band Ghost which helped design the aesthetic of the priestess. This information was revealed in an interview with Alicia Atout of A Music Blog, Yeah (AMBY).

Vastly Talented

In this era of wrestling for women, the field is vast of talented competitors. This makes a unique character even more important. In this arena, there are few characters as defined and as well brought to life as Harlow. As she continues to grow and learn as a wrestler, this will continue to give her the edge. With the addition of WOW to her resume, Harlow will continue her growth. As a fun fact about Razor and Fury, their face paint is inspired by two wrestlers from Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling (GLOW). If you look back at photographs, they are reminiscent of Spike and Chainsaw, the Heavy Metals Sisters.

She will of course not be alone, as when you see Fury you will also see Razor.Jessicka Havok
