The Raw Rebound for 10/8/19 (Braun Strowman and Tyson Fury)

Monday Night Raw opens with a replay of last week’s ending with Bobby Lashley and Lana kissing on stage. Rusev is getting attacked by King Corbin and Randy Orton. He fends them off and Bobby Lashley appears on the big screen calling him out. He’s at Rusev’s house and has on his robe. Bobby then gets in his bed and Lana comes in. She tells Rusev that she’s taken him to the cleaners. Rusev stands in the ring with a very broken and pitiful look. After the video goes off, he snaps on Randy and Baron and attacks them both with steel ring steps. Fans can anticipate a confrontation between Braun Strowman and Tyson Fury.

Lacey Evans vs Natalya in a last woman standing match is up next. They show Lacey tapping out to the Sharpshooter at Hell in a Cell last night. Lacey cuts a promo saying she’s going to take Nattie out like the trash she is. Nattie on the offense early. Commentary mentions this might be the last time they face off with each other after the draft. We come back from commercial and Lacey has the upper hand as she attacks Nattie with a kendo stick and gets several near ten counts on the outside of the ring. They fight up the ramp and even though Lacey Evans threw her into the LED display at the top of the stage, Nattie regained the momentum and picked up the victory after power bombing Lacey off the stage.

Who shall knock on Aleister’s door?

Aleister Black does a darkroom promo about wanting a superstar to pick a fight with him.

The Street Profits were backstage talking about the upcoming draft on Smackdown Live.

Tyson Fury is backstage with his family and does an interview with Charly Caruso. He tells her that he’s not leaving until Braun Stroman apologizes for throwing Dolph Ziggler into him.

WWE Raw Tag Team Champions Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode are out to face the Viking Raiders in a non-title (non-squash) match. In a back and forth match that went about 15 minutes, the Viking Raiders picked up the non-title pinfall victory over the champions by hitting the Viking Experience on Dolph Ziggler.

Back to Aleister Black who says he’s just going to go down to the ring and see if anyone will pick a fight with him.

The Singh Brothers are in the ring to prove why they should be the top picks in the draft. They call out Aleister Black and he has an answer to his question. A Black Mass kick and a modified Dragon Sleeper submission ended this one fairly quickly.

The Monster Among Men and The Gypsy King

Braun says that if Tyson Fury wants an apology, he has to ask nicely because if not, he’ll “Get these hands!”

Rey Mysterio did a backstage interview and talked about he and Dominik getting mauled by Brock Lesnar. He said that Cain Velasquez is Dominik’s godfather and he’s going to avenge the Mysterio family.

The OC are out for a match before we go to commercial.

Back from commercial, the AOP does another darkroom promo and saying they have the will to take the food off another man’s plate and no tag team in the WWE has the killer instinct they do.

Lucha House Party are the OC’s opponent. After a match where Lucha House Party got some pretty good offense in, The OC picked up the win with a Phenomenal Forearm from the United States Champion, AJ Styles. The beatdown continued after the match was over with The OC hitting The Magic Killer and Styles hitting a Second Rope Styles Clash.

MizTV with The Man and The Queen

MizTV is next and his guests are “The Man” and Raw Women’s Champion, Becky Lynch and “The Queen” and Smackdown Women’s Champion, Charlotte Flair. They both talk about their matches at Hell in a Cell last night. The conversation pivots to their respective championship reigns and Charlotte, a 10-time champion throws Becky some shade but Lynch responds by telling her that even though she’s had fewer reigns than Charlotte, hers have been more meaningful.

The new Women’s Tag Team Champions, The Kabuki Warriors come out and interrupt things and cut a promo in Japanese. They eventually make their way to ringside and the brawl is on! We go to commercial and the MizTV set has been cleared and the match gets underway. Like she did the night before at Hell in a Cell, Asuka hit Becky Lynch with the green mist to pick up the victory. After the match, Charlotte attacked both Kairi and Asuka until the numbers game caught up to her. Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross hit the ring and made the save while Becky tried to clear her eyes on the outside of the ring.

Ricochet defeated Apollo Crews in a “WWE Draft Showcase” match.

Tyson Fury made his way out to demand an apology from Braun Strowman. The Monster Among Men made his way out and warned Fury about stepping into ‘his world’ of wrestling. Fury responded by mentioning the fact that Braun has never won a world title in ‘his world.’ and the brawl was on after Braun shoved Tyson. Several security team members, backstage agents, and superstars came out to try and keep the peace but were continually tossed aside by the two burly brutes. The show ended in chaos after Braun left the ring but eventually returned after telling Charly in a quick backstage segment that he wasn’t going to apologize. Braun Strowman and Tyson Fury fought as Raw faded to black.

What's up folks, I'm Hab and I've been a wrestling fan for more than thirty years. I grew up on the NWA and Crockett Promotions in the Triad City of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. My favorite wrestler of all time is Bret Hart. At the moment, I'm a Cesaro hipster and The World's Biggest Luke Harper fan. I was at the Smackdown! taping when Brock Lesnar threw Zach Gowen down a flight of steps in the New Orleans Arena and laughed about it for the next two days. I have a few loves in my life, my beautiful daughter, my family, professional wrestling and hip-hop are just some of them.
