Hello one and all, and welcome to your weekly wrestling news catch up article. As always I, “Smart” Mark Blake, will find the biggest, strangest, and most interesting stories of the week, round them up, and let you chow down on them like a wrestling smorgasbord! So sit back, put your feet up and this week’s Week In Review!

The Elite Creating A Wrestling Promotion?

Some very interesting news (pretty handy as this is a news article) popped up on Reddit this past week…..

Quite a few new trademarks for an undisclosed wrestling promotion have been filed over the past month or so. Here’s some of them:

All Elite Wrestling
AEW
AEW All out
AEW Double Or Nothing

Interesting huh? Well, the developments don’t stop there. Apparently, the trademarks for all of the above are registered at the same address as the Jacksonville Jaguars stadium….

ALL ELITE WRESTLING, LLC
1 TIAA BANK FIELD DRIVE
JACKSONVILLE FL, 32202

The co-owner of the Jags is Tony Khan, who was apparently bankrolling a new wrestling promotion that had Chris Jericho and Jim Ross involved, but as you know, both men have denied this.

With both men now out of the picture, is this where The Elite step in? Cody himself has said that he’s “transitioning into a new role in the wrestling industry” as well as not working with Ring Of Honor next year too.

All very cloak and dagger, but if this results in All In becoming a new promotion, I’ll happily don my mysterious cloak and go along for the ride.

At today’s (Nov 24) NXT UK TV tapings in Liverpool today, it was announced by Triple H himself that the brand will have their very first Takeover show on Saturday, January 12.

Marko Stunt Injury Update

Photo/@MarkoStunt

I wrote about Marko Stunt last week and his terrible injury he suffered at Joey Janela’s LA Confidential event and I’ve had a lot of messages from you all asking about him, where to find him in action etc. So with that in mind, I thought I would update you all on his situation.

Last Sunday had successful surgery on his broken leg and his promising career is currently on hold while he recovers from this very untimely and nasty injury.

As you can see from the tweets below, a few of his famous wrestling friends have been to see him….

Once again all of us here wish Marko the best in his recovery.

Another Big Name Indy Going To The Performance Centre In January?

Photo/@GoGoACH

Last week I wrote that Trevor Lee and Shane Strickland are heavily rumored to be headed to the WWE Performance Centre in the January intake early next year.

Well, you can now add another big name to that possible list as PWInsider have been quoted as saying that they’re very high on former Ring Of Honor and current NJPW/MLW star ACH.

If you’ve never seen ACH wrestle, check out his work in RoH (2012-2016), read fellow Pro Wrestling Post’s Brandi Wagner’s reviews of MLW Fusion where ACH currently performs, or check out this video from Inspire Pro – ACH v MJF in a battle for the Pure Prestige Championship (and who has the best acronym)

And that folks, brings an end to another Week In Review. As always it’s been emotional but you can bet your bottom dollar that I’ll be back….RIGHT HERE….next week for more news from this crazy world of pro wrestling that we love.
