LAX Finished With Impact Wrestling

It seems that the four times Impact Tag Team Champions LAX are done with the company. After coming up short in their match at Slammiversary XVII against The North, Dave Meltzer reported that it was indeed their last match.

It’s been rumored for weeks that Santana and Ortiz were being chased by WWE to bolster their ranks and AEW to add to their burgeoning tag team division.

Where the talented duo ends up is anybody’s guess at this moment in time. I could equally see them in NXT or as major players in AEW. I guess we’ll see huh?

“Fair Game” Interviewer Shocked At How WWE Treats Their Talent

Photo/YouTube

Kristine Leahy, the interviewer on the FS1 show Fair Game, sat down with WWE Smackdown Women’s champion Bayley, for what seemed to be a standard question and answer interview. That was until Leahy asked Bayley what the first things the fans would be shocked to know about life on the road.

Bayley replied that how wrestlers have to pay for their own rental cars and drive themselves on long trips around the country after shows. Kristine was visibly shocked and remarked that WWE makes “a lot of money off you guys”, surely they would provide them with transportation. FOX, the network that shows her show “Fair Game”, will be the new home for SmackDown this fall after paying $1billion for the rights.

Leahy then pushed the subject any further by jokingly suggesting that the wrestlers band together to renegotiate their collective bargaining agreement. Not knowing that there is no such thing as a wrestlers union in the WWE, something that was brought up by John Oliver over WrestleMania week this past April.

Could FOX force WWE to actually employ their talent as employees? Quite possibly. Paying $1billion will certainly give you a seat at the table to at least discuss certain things?

X-Pac – “Ospreay Is The Best NJPW Has To Offer”

Photo/@TheRealXPac

On his latest X-Pac 12360 podcast, the WWE Hall Of Famer spoke about the recent NJPW G1 matches. One talent, in particular, stood out to Pac, the current IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, Will Ospreay.

“As someone that’s specialty was that style of match, a David and Goliath match, I just thought it was done really well. Ospreay, I think he’s the best guy they have especially for the global expansion here in the States. You know, a blond-haired f**king kid with blue eyes. Good looking f**ker, too. His gears are all on point – I was hoping he would win. Lance did great though, I was really happy for Lance. I hope they use Lance more moving forward. I hope they use him better.”

X-Pac could be right. Will has been on a tear this calendar year for New Japan. Fantastic showings at Wrestle Kingdom and the Best Of The Super Junior tournament, reclaiming the IWGP Jr Heavyweight Championship title….Yup I can definitely see where Pac is coming from.

Chris Jericho Announces First AEW Talent For His Second Wrestling Cruise

Week In Review

Yesterday Chris Jericho announced the first three AEW talents that will accompany him on the Chris Jericho’s Rock ‘N’ Wrestling Rager at Sea: Part Deux. The cruise, that departs from Miami in January next year, is the second event that has been organized by Jericho.

The talents announced via his Instagram are –

AEW Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes
Chief Brand Officer Brandi Rhodes
Maxwell Jacob Friedman aka MJF

Also announced a few weeks ago is Brad Williams as the official host of the cruise, Vickie Guerrero is the guest cruise director and the guest of honor is WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair.

I’ve heard nothing but good things about the first cruise Jericho put on. Let’s hope for more of the same. And maybe a little AEW at sea action on the TV show? 😉
