#Preview: Without a Cause Presents With Love, WAC XOXO (2/24/19)

With the event’s close proximity to Valentine’s day, it would seem Without A Cause has chosen to follow the love theme with their newest show titled With Love, WAC XOXO! When one really looks at the card, it is an appropriate title. We have a lot of performers at this event who LOVE to beat people up! As a result, we’ll see a lot of LOVE on February 24th in Everett Washington.

Singles Match
Daniel Makabe vs. Alexander Hammerstone

In this exciting match up we’re going to see the technical stylings of Daniel Makabe clash with the powerhouse maneuvers of Alexander Hammerstone! While it isn’t the first time we’ve seen these two styles compete against one another, it’s the first time we’ve seen it between these two men.

Daniel Makabe is making his Without A Cause debut at With Love, WAC XOXO! This gentleman’s career has been getting some traction of late. He’s been making some appearances outside the Pacific Northwest region. This is always a good sign for local talent who are looking to expand their careers. After a long reign as Champion at 321Battle! Daniel continues to make his presence known throughout the region, and it would seem he’s decided to add Without A Cause to his list.

Alexander Hammerstone is also making his WAC debut. He is coming to us fresh off of making an appearance in Portland with DEFY. He is a regular at PCW Ultra and like his opponent has a career that is on a fast track to greatness. This enormous man will be coming to show his LOVE to Daniel Makabe!

Tag Team Match
King Khash & Guillermo Rosas vs. Nick Wayne & Cody Chunn

For those of you who are unaware, King Khash is leaving us. He will be traveling across the Pacific Ocean and working with Zero One in Japan. How long will he be there? An undetermined amount of time. For many, this is a farewell match for King Khash, likely to invoke an emotional response from more than a few people in the audience.

Joining King Khash is Guillermo Rosas, a long-time training partner and friend. These two guys have trained at the Buddy Wayne Academy for years and are excellent when working in the ring together. Rosas is really growing as a performer and every time he steps into the ring, he is more enjoyable to watch than the last.

Facing King Khash is a young man not only making his debut at Without A Cause but his United States debut, local multi-generational talent, Nick Wayne. The son of legendary Buddy Wayne, he will be showing us that wrestling is in his blood. At the age of sixteen he’s already good enough to work the ring as a professional. We are going to see the genesis of a truly great talent on February 24th. Nick grew up with King Khash and the two are virtual brothers. In many ways this match is a symbolic passing of the torch from big brother Khash to his little brother Nick.

Joining Nick as his partner is “Classic” Cody Chunn! This beloved performer has been a regular at Without a Cause! He is a talented mat wrestler and there isn’t an audience he’s encountered that didn’t walk away as huge Cody fans. He also is a longtime friend and training partner of King Khash. His inclusion is no doubt an opportunity for a good friend to say goodbye in a particularly spectacular way.

Singles Match
Pitfall Jones vs. “Kingpin” Johnny Flynn

Returning to Without A Cause will be two regulars, Pitfall Jones and “Kingpin” Johnny Flynn. These two extremely talented gentlemen will face off against one another for the first time on February 24th.

A couple weeks ago Johnny Flynn released a video in which he accepted Pitfall Jones’ request for a match. He continued to go on about consequences and unexpected outcomes. There is little doubt that Johnny plans to bring a world of hurt down on our favorite Dr. Jones. But one should never count Pitfall out. This academic is a cunning presence in the ring and regardless of the Kingpin’s plans, Pitfall is highly adaptable, and this will make their match incredible to watch.

Tag Team Match
Daddy’s Money (Eli Surge & Travis Williams) vs. DJZ & Sonico

Eli Surge and Travis Williams are obviously salty over the treatment their “Cool Dad” Chris Ross received last month at the hands of luchador Sonico. After our masked hero finished the match Eli and Travis came out and savagely brutalized Sonico! Daddy’s money is escalating this feud on February 24th! They are stepping into the ring to further their acrimonious grudge by taking on Sonico in a tag team match.

Sonico seems more than happy to oblige them, however he needs a partner. Who answered his call? DJZ! This talented young man who made his debut last month will be returning to help our luchador defend himself against Daddy’s Money. DJZ is more than an adequate partner and his inclusion is going to up the ante.

This is going to be a brutal match because it’s personal. Will Eli Surge and “Golden Boy” Travis Williams get the better of Sonico and his partner? Or have they bitten off more than they can chew this time? We’ll see for ourselves, very soon…

Singles Match
Shane Strickland vs. Dave Turner

Shane Strickland is perhaps one of the preeminent performers working in professional wrestling today. He’s worked with a plethora of prestigious promotions across the country and on February 24th he will be adding one more to his list of great promotions he’s worked for. It is impossible to talk about Shane Strickland without addressing the abundance of whispers and speculation surrounding him. Some are suggesting he’s on the cusp of signing with WWE. Time will tell if this is true. One way or another, as the business evolves, and as more and more great talents are being signed to exclusive contracts, it is safe to say we may not be seeing Strickland working on the independent scene for long.

Facing off against Shane is no stranger to the Without A Cause crowd. After his suspension in December, he returned last month to face Darby Allin! This didn’t go well for Dave’s opponent. The Black Sheep brutalized Darby until he lost consciousness and Referee Aubrey Edwards called the match. This terrifying juggernaut is the reigning nightmare of Without A Cause! There is little doubt he plans to offer Shane the same treatment he gave Darby.

These two men are truly great at what they do. Without question this is going to be an epic match and those lucky enough to be sitting in the audience will have an experience they will likely be talking about in the years to come.

Other Talent

We have some other talent showing up at With Love, WAC XOXO. Some of the names that have been announced: “The King of Dong Style” Joey Ryan, Twitter verified “Local Celebrity” Steve Migs, accompanied by Uncle Muscles, Allan Jepsen, The Strays (Judas Icarus & Elliot Tyler), Izzy McQueen, Chase James, and “Cool Dad” Chris Ross

The role these talents will play in With Love, WAC XOXO remains to be seen. There is no doubt we’re in for some surprises. With Owner/Promoter, Max Zaleski, continued mistreatment of Steve Migs, it seems likely this feud will come to a head soon. As for the “King of Dong Style,” one can only guess how he will factor into all of this. Izzy McQueen hasn’t been to Without A Cause before and it would not be a surprise if she isn’t there to provide backup for Max who is no doubt expecting a reckoning for his cruel acts against Migs.

Then there’s Chase James and “Cool Dad” Chis Ross. Will Ross try to recruit James to Daddy’s Money? Then we have the Strays… They will be performing in Hermiston Oregon on the Friday before the show… Perhaps panhandling their way to Everett Washington will prove too daunting for these two mischief-makers to traverse… Only those who attend on February 24th are going to find out in person!

If you haven’t attended a Without A Cause event and you live in the region or have the means to visit, it is highly recommended you give this outstanding promotion a try. With only their fourth show, they have grown into an outstanding brand improving with every event. This is must see wrestling!
