Preview: AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 2/26/20

Welcome to the inaugural edition of AEW Dynamite IGNITE! This will be your new weekly preview of the exciting action you will see each and every week on AEW Dynamite. This week’s show is the go-home show before this Saturday’s pay-per-view, AEW Revolution. AEW has done a fantastic job of building its first pay-per-view card of 2020 and this week is filled with exciting matches yet again. The Road to Revolution goes through Kansas City. Let us see what AEW has in store for us on Wednesday: Here is what we IGNITE with AEW Dynamite this week.

Inner Circle vs Jungle Express

This should be another match in the always fun six-man tag team action we are used to seeing on Dynamite. Santana and Ortiz made it to the very end of the Tag Team Gauntlet match last week before falling just short to the Young Bucks. They will be looking to re-establish themselves after a series of devastating losses.

We have other factors in the match as well that could have major ramifications for Revolution. Sammy Guevara is involved in a heated feud with Darby Allin who just might make a surprise appearance as well. Jurassic Express, who doesn’t currently have a match for Revolution, will need a big victory to re-establish themselves in the tag division going forward. It is hard to say who will win but it will be a lot of fun to watch on Wednesday night.

The Butcher & The Blade W/The Bunny vs Best Friends W/Orange Cassidy

Can The Butcher survive the brutal kicks that Orange Cassidy will surely lay on him? Few men truly can without the Freshly Squeezed unique brand of punishment.

The Butcher & The Blade were responsible for eliminating the Best Friends from last week’s Tag Team Gauntlet Match. Best Friends will be out for revenge. Both teams also know that a victory here could put them in line for a Tag Team title shot after AEW Revolution. What role will the Bunny play in the match? Will Orange Cassidy play a role too or will he be too lazy to really care? We will find out in Kansas City.

Kenny Omega vs PAC (30 Minute Ironman Match)

We get a real pay-per-view quality match on AEW Dynamite.

PAC has been obsessed with getting a “rubber match” with Kenny Omega in recent weeks. He attacked Michael Nakazawa and threatened to attack Riho as well. Kenny Omega gave in and the match was set for Kansas City. It is finally time to determine who is the best.

These two had one of the better matches of 2019 when they met at All Out when PAC won. But the rumors are they were not happy with the quality of the match. They believed they could do even better.

They had another strong match in November on Dynamite with Kenny Omega winning this time around. With the score at 1 to 1, the only way to settle the score is on Wednesday. With a match that is guaranteed to last for thirty minutes, what can these two amazing performers pull off this time? It should be an instant classic.

Jon Moxley And Chris Jericho Weigh In

We have had that AEW wanting that sports-like feel to all their shows. Having a weigh-in like boxing or UFC before a big match is one way to really do that. It is time to have Moxley and Jericho face off in person one last time before Revolution.

Chris Jericho’s Inner Circle has tried a lot to stop Jon Moxley on the road to his AEW World Championship match at Revolution. They tried to blind Moxley and it didn’t stop him. Both Santana and Ortiz fought him and failed. Jeff Cobb made his AEW debut and lost to Moxley as well. Will Le Champion have one last trick up his sleeve before Saturday? Judging by previous weeks, it will be a memorable attempt, to say the least.

It will be a stacked card in Kansas City on Wednesday. What other surprises will AEW Dynamite have going forward? Make sure to read AEW Dynamite Ignite each week to find out!
