#Preview : AAW Pro Presents Never Say Die

On Friday, June 28th, AAW Pro presents Never Say Die from Bourbon Street in Chicago, Illinois. The event will have no shortage of title matches as the AAW Pro Tag Team, AAW Pro Heritage and Heavyweight championships all on the line. We could see a series of championships change hands and one’s potentially retained. As it stands at the moment the biggest question being asked is who will challenge Sami Callihan for the AAW Pro Heavyweight championship. For all the questions asked, there appear to be even more answers needed as well. Here is our preview for AAW Pro’s upcoming Never Say Die event.

Kongo Kong vs. Fatu w/ Armando Estrada

One of the most popular sayings the late WWE Hall of Famer Gorilla Monsoon. He would state when two massive competitors would face one another it was a case of the irresistible force meets the immovable object. It feels that this saying could best be used to describe this matchup between Kong and Fatu. These two men are likely to hit each other with some of the hardest and stiffest punches and kicks of any match on the night.

It isn’t likely to be one of the safest matches either. With that said everyone who is likely within, reach could face the risk of being in the crossfire. Kong and Fatu will strike each other leaving no doubt that anyone in the ring with them is likely to face their wrath if they get involved. Who is left standing once all the dust is settled? It may be a case of Estrada as both these massive men could take each other out at Never Say Die.

Eddie Kingston and Curt Stallion vs. AR Fox and Myron Reed

Fyah Fox and the WRSTLING faction are likely to create an absolute mess when they face-off against each other this coming Friday, June 28th. Stallion has had his opportunity for the AAW Pro Heavyweight championship and Kingston is likely poised at some point to do the same. This matchup clearly has championship implications. Fans that are familiar with the duo of Fox and Reed know they will throw caution among other things to the wind.

We could see a stiffer form of competition head their way as Eddie Kingston and Curt Stallion do everything in their power to ensure they are considered perianal contenders for AAW‘ coveted tag team championship. The biggest question will be if others will be active parts of this matchup or are we likely to see the duo of Stallion and Kingston be the newest contenders for the championship. Fox and Reed have chemistry on their side as they have been a longstanding duo for quite some time.

Kris Statlander vs. Priscilla Kelly

A match that showcases two of the premier independent women’s wrestlers in North America if not the world, step into the ring against one another in an AAW Pro ring. The Alien faces the challenge of Hells favorite Harlot in a match where despite only have a few years of wrestling experience behind her, Statlander looks to assert herself in a position as a contender for the AAW Pro Women’s championship. Much like Statlander, Kelly is also looking to be considered a threat for Jessicka Havok’s championship.

Despite not being successful against Havok that isn’t to say she isn’t still keen on making a move towards the title. The problem is the obstacle standing in her way is a protégé of Pat Buck and someone that is carving out a name for herself along the American northeast. Who is able to position themselves for an opportunity for the AAW Pro women’s championship and who will likely have to restart and earn that chance from the back of the line after Never Say Die?

AAW Heritage Championship

Jake Something vs Trey Miguel

There is just something about this match and it isn’t just about the name of one of the participants. With the AAW Heritage Championship on the line, Jake Something will face a much faster challenger in Trey Miguel. These two current IMPACT Wrestling competitors will continue to showcase just what they can do against each other once again in AAW. Both men have been part of notable factions and this could be a case where other members of their respective factions could get involved.

While Zachary Wentz and Desmond Xavier are competing for the AAW Pro tag team championships, to have a night when all The Rascalz all walk away as champions could be a possibility. While Stallion and Kingston will have their hands full on their own against Fox and Reed, if they can aid a friend in Something, then the chances of that aren’t impossible of happening. The match is a real complex of styles here and will be interesting to see how it all comes out.

LAX vs. The Besties vs. The Rascalz

Of any match on the card, this has the don’t blink or you will miss it quality to it. When Santana, Ortiz, Wentz, Xavier, Vega, and Fitchett all come together the real winners are the fans. This title and the division for them is amongst the hotly contested anywhere on the independent scene. With each team making claim as to who will have supremacy a number of questions tend to be asked along the way. Which team will have the stamina to outlast the challenges of the other two squads?

If we are going on young and caginess then it is difficult to look past the Rascalz. That said, LAX are champions multiple times over regardless of where they have gone and in doing so are easily considered a perinnal favorite. The team that fans under the radar are the one of Fitchett and Vega as Besties in the World don’t have the pomp and circumstance that the other two have. That said, it could easily be why they may be the ones to come up and snatch the titles and a win here this evening at Never Say Die.

Loser Leaves AAW

Jimmy Jacobs vs. Mance Warner

In one of the most noted rivalries in AAW history, it appears we finally will have a culmination to this long-standing feud. Time and time again we have seen the more experienced pro in Jacobs attempt to discredit Warner. This is when we see Warner shoot to achieve everything needed to bring this feud to a close. Will he likely beat the life out of Jacobs? Could it be a case of Jacobs shocking the world and putting the younger Warner in his place and eviscerating him from AAW?

As it stands right now the jarbs back and forth towards both competitors is quite heated with the chances of something happening between them that would be the most barbaric taking place. This isn’t a case of both men trying to one-up the other but has both bragging rights and posture for future championship opportunities within the company. It remains one of the most see matches of Never Say Die this Friday. Who says goodbye and who reigns supreme?

AAW Heavyweight Championship

Sami Callihan vs ??

One of the most polarizing talents in wrestling today on the independent scene is unquestionably the Death Machine, Sami Callihan. He has cemented his place as one of the most revered talents on the planet. Callihan has been able to challenge and achieve success not only on television, but in several promotions in the U.S. The difficulty here is that he will be challenging someone for his coveted AAW Pro Heavyweight championship, but not a challenger to this point has been named.

It begs the question of whom could it be and why haven’t they been announced? The likeliness of it not being announced could be an array of reasons. One by keeping fans waiting it can build anticipation as to whom it may be. The chances of it being someone from Callihan’s past also could be true. With JT Davidson by his side, there doesn’t appear to be anyone or anything that could stand in Sami’s way. Does a rematch with David Starr seem like it could happen at Never Say Die?
