In a recent interview with Yahoo Sports, former WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins shares about an array of different topics including the Brock Lesnar, SummerSlam and why it is easy for fans to hate on the WWE. During their discussion, Rollins shared that the rationale is much greater due to its historical significance to sports franchise dynasties.

We’re the New York Yankees. It’s easy to hate the New England Patriots. We’re those teams, we’re the dynasty. It’s easy to hate us (WWE), but we’re still the most popular company in the world at what we do. We’re so far beyond being a wrestling company that it’s very easy to point the finger and hate on us. That’s the cool thing to do, it makes perfect sense to me, it’s how it’s always been in sports and entertainment, you always hate the big guy. It’s fine, I’m not upset about it at all.

In doing so, however, Rollins wanted to also share that despite some disdain for the promotion that they continue to work to improve their product and do the best they can as a promotion.

I just want people to understand and appreciate the things we go through and the fact that we’re always trying to do our best. Nobody is taking it easy, nobody is just getting by. Everybody from top to bottom, every department in the entire company is putting in as much work as they possibly can to make this the best.

Madison’s Mindset: Seth Rollins didn’t mince words really on what fans also have access to as well as the information available is unlike what it was decades ago. His comments could rub some the wrong way. In only identifying franchises that may have caused anger in some fans he didn’t identify the likes of the LA Lakers or Boston Celtics who didn’t have the same disdain towards. Fans can appreciate that there is an effort to make the product better but could it because they are inundated
