#NEWS: Big Swole Signs with All Elite Wrestling

Earlier today, via Twitter, it was officially announced that Big Swole has signed with All Elite Wrestling.

With this news, Big Swole will become a regular talent for AEW programming moving forward. Big Swole made her first appearance for the company in October. On an episode of AEW Dark, she teamed with Mercedes Martinez against the team of Sadie Gibbs and Allie. Since she, she has made continuous appearances on AEW’s supplementary show on YouTube, challenging the likes of Shanna, Hikaru Shida, and AEW Women’s World Champion, Riho.

Big Swole has been wrestling since 2016, getting her start at the North Carolina-based Queens of Combat as Aerial Monroe. From there, she appeared in a number of other promotions, including SHINE. She also appeared on WWE programming, once in a losing effort against Nia Jax, though she’s perhaps better known for her participation in the second Mae Young Classic in 2018. In the first round, she faced Zeuxis. Big Swole is the current reigning Phoenix of RISE Champion and, alongside Aja Perera, one half of the SHINE Tag Team Champions.

Big Swole will make her official AEW Dynamite debut this coming Wednesday, when she faces Emi Sakura in singles competition. AEW Dynamite airs live, on TNT, every Wednesday at 8 PM.

Sutter’s Synopsis:

This isn’t the only major women’s signing announced by AEW. It was also confirmed that Kris Statlander, who had been reportedly making her way to the promotion, also put pen to paper. Big Swole’s signing only adds to the excitement and, undoubtedly, the growth of AEW’s women’s division.

Though Big Swole has only been wrestling for a few years, she harnesses potential charisma alike. One of the reasons she stands out among the roster, aside from her power, is her personality. “Big Swole” isn’t only a ring name to her; it’s a term that describes her overall demeanor. She isn’t shy about making her presence known and it’s safe to say that the rest of the division will be put on notice. When looking at the landscape of women’s wrestling in AEW, Big Swole is a name to keep an eye on.
