#NEWS: AEW Offers The Private Party Full-Time Deals

This past Saturday, at AEW Fyter Fest, The Private Party competed in the opening match of the main show against Best Friends and SoCal Uncensored. Though the team of Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen came out on the losing end, their performance thrilled fans in the Ocean Center and viewers around the world. In fact, their performance was so strong that it caught the attention of AEW Executive Vice Presidents The Young Bucks. According to Matt Jackson, when The Private Party stepped back through the curtain, they were offered full-time contracts.

“Star performances like that deserve to be rewarded,” said Jackson on Twitter. He posted a follow-up tweet hyping The Young Bucks’ upcoming match against Private Party at House of Glory High Intensity 8. The event in question will take place on August 9th from the NYC Center.

The Private Party, comprised of Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen, made their pro wrestling debut in 2015. They started with House of Glory, based out of New York, winning the HOG Tag Team Championship in their first year. From there, they took their talents to other independent promotions, including Blitzkrieg Pro, Fight the World Wrestling, and Game Changer Wrestling. They won a total of five tag team championships in the independent scene, but plan to add another in their new home of All Elite Wrestling.

Sutter’s Synopsis: With AEW’s weekly television show on TNT around the corner, it behooves them to lock down as much talent as possible. In the tag team scene, few new talents have made as big of an impression as The Private Party.

It’s important to note that, going into Fyter Fest, most viewers didn’t know who Kassidy and Quen were. When they were announced as competitors in the opening match, fans wondered what they would bring to the table. What resulted was a spirited performance full of high-risk maneuvers and undeniable charisma alike. Not only were they able to hold their own against the established Best Friends and SCU, but they were able to get the audience in Daytona Beach behind them. It’s safe to say they didn’t fare too badly in their AEW debut.

Though The Private Party failed to win the three-way tag team match at Fyter Fest, expect to see them play a role in the AEW Tag Team Championship scene. The promotion’s tag team division will benefit.
