New South Pro Wrestling Presents 5: The Anniversary Show | Preview

On Saturday in Hanceville, AL, the dirty south will see its biggest bash of the summer! New South Pro Wrestling celebrates its 5th anniversary this weekend and the show they have lined up looks large. You may not be ready to venture out to shows just yet, but this one will be available on IWTV. Don’t miss it! There’s going to be a lot going on Saturday: grudge matches and AEW talent matches and buried alive matches, so you know we’re in for a good time! This is my preview of New South Pro Wrestling Presents 5: The Anniversary Show.

New South Pro Wrestling Presents 5: The Anniversary Show

New South has been delivering all summer, but this event promises to be the best one since March’s HOSS Tournament. A lot of familiar names and new faces are going to be a part of this show, so be sure to check it out on IWTV and get to know the south’s up and coming talent.

Tag Team Championship
2 Fly Ty and Dylan vs. The Lady Killerz w/Rodney Rockchild

The belts are on the line! I’ll always be down for Dylan, so the new and reigning tag champions have my support in this match. Even though I may not share the same sentiment for Ty, you just can’t help but love Dylan! I will say this for the Lady Killerz, though – Perez and Blake may end up being a better team together than I give them credit for. Let’s not swipe left just yet on those guys, because they may surprise us.

AEW Talent Challenge
Baron Black vs. Lee Johnson

Oh hell yes. This is the match I’m wanting to see this Saturday! Two of AEW’s up and coming names will meet up in the ring and it will be a great one to watch. If you’ve been following both Baron Black and Lee Johnson’s matches in the AEW ring lately you can see they’ve made some big strides in their performance already. It’s gonna be fun to be close to the action for this. It’s very hard for me to make a prediction here, so I will merely say with full honesty BOTH THESE GUYS!

Last Man Standing
Steven Michaels vs. Adam Priest

The Summer of Bangers continues between Steven Michaels and Adam Priest. I would not be one bit upset if these two guys continued to fight forever, as they say. Every outing in the ring with Priest and the Alpha Wolf gives us a new level of brutality to enjoy. I’ve got a feeling that Michaels is going to get more rowdy than usual with this match though, as it’s a Last Man Standing match. Priest is badass, but I think the Alpha Wolf was made for these types of fights. We’ll see who’s on both feet at the end, however.

New South Pro Wrestling Presents 5: The Anniversary Show
New South Express vs. Akudo Death Society

This is the rematch that needs to happen! ADS will have to rise in the tag team ranks again if they ever want to hold the gold as they’ve done before. However, before they do that they have to make their way past the New South Express. That won’t be the easiest thing they’ll ever do, either. Let’s find out this Saturday if they’ve got what it takes to climb that ladder once more or if the Express will run right past them.

New South Pro Wrestling Presents 5: The Anniversary Show
Shalandra Royal vs. Trixie

The women will definitely show up to Hanceville to impress with this one. New South has been featuring the best of the south’s upcoming female talent for months and this bout looks like it will be one that will have us remembering both Trixie & Royal when it comes to looking at fresh new names on the indie scene. Get down, ladies!

New South Heavyweight Championship Match
Cabana Man Dan (c) vs. Derek Neal

Here’s the one we’ve all been waiting to see since March! Derek Neal walked away with the prestige at this year’s HOSS Tournament, but we’ve wondered when the King’s Road Slayer would finally come face to face with Cabana Man Dan, the reigning champ. Now’s the time and I’d say both men are at their most ready. I’m absolutely ready to see this one, this will be way too close to call but I will say I can’t help but have a little trepidation for the future of Our Man Dan as champ! Whether those fears prove unfounded remains to be seen…

Buried Alive Match
Chris Crunk vs. Kung Fu Donnie Janela

Can this summer get any more extreme for Donnie? We’ve seen him in a Bloodsport match and now a Buried Alive match? Don’t forget (and I won’t let anyone forget) I said that this would be the year everyone would know about Kung Fu Janela, and matches like these are what gets the man known. I highly doubt Donnie is going to let Chris Crunk get the best of him in a match like this, but then again we have to remember the ADS won’t be terribly far away when all this goes down. Will we see a fair one on one fight or will it be an ADS conspiracy to bury Kung Fu Janela in the end?

Special Challenge
Tyler Franks vs. Brett Ison

Oh, Tyler Franks…what are you doing, All Beef? Challenging Brett Ison (of all people!) is not exactly what most would do to get their name out there. There’s a reason we all call Ison the Pitbull and it’s not because he’s a playful doggie, he’s a damn killer! Despite my concern, however, this match is definitely taking place this Saturday…and no matter what let’s not forget that Tyler Franks asked for this!

All this action goes on live this Saturday evening in Hanceville, Alabama, but you can catch it on IWTV in upcoming days. Be sure to check the schedule to find out when New South’s 5th Anniversary show will air!
