MLW Has Signed A Streaming Deal With Digital Original Entertainment

Announced in a press release from their official website, MLW has signed a streaming deal with Digital Original Entertainment. While the world is still gripping with the current effects of COVID-19 pandemic, the world of professional wrestling begins to come out from the shadows and conduct business as usual. Today, the powerhouse company Major League Wrestling has made a historic move that is much more than usual business.

During an AMA on Twitter, CEO Court Bauer answered several questions including a possible deal coming soon, which now turns out to be this streaming deal with DOE.

MLW Has Signed A Streaming Deal With DOE

With much of the world inside over the past few months, streaming services in need of fresh content. Hulu and Netflix among others are at an all-time high in demand. DOE adds to their catalog with this deal with MLW, putting the wrestling company to more homes than ever before with a brand already scheduled to be accessible via Android and iOS devices, Amazon Fire, Roku, PlayStation, Xbox, Chromecast, and Virgin Media.

MLW COO Jared St. Laurent had this to say in his press release –

“We’re thrilled that DOE TV Network viewers will get to see all of the world class fighters MLW has to offer starting this fall. Whether it’s World Heavyweight Champion Jacob Fatu, World Middleweight Champion Myron Reed or any of the other incredible athletes in Major League Wrestling, anybody who tunes into the DOE TV Network can expect all of the action and excitement MLW is known for.”

The agreement will kick in this September in conjunction with DOE TV’s launch. For more information visit their official Instagram here.

Caul’s Call

Big win for Court Bauer and his team here. As an MLW connoisseur myself, I’ve enjoyed Fusion being accessible on YouTube. However, having that flexibility to have the show in one place helps greatly!

And much like TNT has been with AEW, I fully expect MLW superstars to show up on DOE TV brands. Just to solidify the relationship. Can you imagine a Mance Warner cooking show? Or King Mo doing a therapy session? The possibilities are endless and I am glad to see MLW and the wrestling business adapting during this COVID Era.
