In the world of pro wrestling, weddings are always a big event. I mean outside of the obvious nuptials, you always tend to get some shenanigans taken place during the ceremony. Monday night’s wedding of Lana and Lashley was no different as it was full of surprises, first marriages and Liv Morgan?
While yesterday may have been Rusev Day, yesterday was also a major debut for two of independent wrestling’s rising stars.

While he was calling everyone a son-of-a… you know what, Lana’s “first husband” is actually Curt Hawkins’ Create-A-Pro graduate Eric James. James, a Queens, NY native also known as EJ Risk, is a 9-year veteran of the mat game with matches with House of Glory founder Amazing Red and northeast region legend Brian XL. The Local Competitor on Twitter shared that Risk recently captured the CAP Television title, among his other accolades.
While she did her best to stop the wedding, and getting a wicked right hand to the face, Lashley’s “first wife” also has wrestling in her blood.

The young woman was revealed to be NXT signee Karissa Rivera. Only a year into her wrestling career, Rivera is the daughter of Puerto Rican legend Jose Rivera, formerly of Los Boricuas! She may seem familiar to wrestling fans as she debuted on NXT against SmackDown superstar Lacey Evans and even had a standout match against former ROH star Kelly Klein. Karissa also teamed with fellow rising star Kris Statlander on the April 9th edition of SmackDown against The IIconics.
