Independent Wrestling Weekly For 08/18/20

The independent wrestling weekly news review for 08/18/20 is back for another week. During the last week, Warrior Wrestling held their Friday Night Lights event at Chicago Heights, IL. Zelo Pro Wrestling, Game Changer Wrestling, Synergy Pro Wrestling, and Paradigm Pro Wrestling all announced matches and events all happening this year. Equity UK have asked promotions to commit to five pledges due to the Speaking Out movement.

Wrestle Carnival continued making arrangments for their first show in 2021 this week. Wrestler Carnival announced James R Kennedy and Dave Bradshaw will be the promotion’s official commentary team. The promotion also revealed that Chris Sharpe and Deviki have been signed as referees for the company.

EVOLVE, wXw, ICW & Progress Wrestling Shows To Be Shown On WWE Network 

EVOLVE, wXw, ICW and Progress Wrestling will all have clips and shows debuting on the WWE Network. The clips and past shows will include well known WWE wrestlers before they, such as Drew McIntyre while he wrestled for EVOLVE. WWE stated; “EVOLVE, PROGRESS Wrestling from England, Germany’s wXw and Scotland’s ICW will debut for subscribers to the award-winning streaming service, giving the WWE Universe the chance to see some of their favorite Superstars like never before. And this is just the beginning!”

Zelo Pro Wrestling’s Stronger Together Results

Zelo Pro Wrestling held their Stronger Together event on Saturday 15th of August 2020, the event was held in Joe’s Bar on Weed St. Chicago, Illinois. If you missed Stronger Together or were unable to purchase tickets you can watch the replay on FITE TV. The results for Stronger Together are as followed;

St. Louis Anarchy announced the postponement of their B Block event, which was meant to be held on Friday 21st August 2020. The B Block event will now be turned into a doubleheader event on the 18th of September 2020. St. Louis Anarchy stated, “all tickets will be honoured for the make update. September 4th Block A will happen if allowed. If not it will be moved to October 2nd and will be a doubleheader event.” You can find details for the new double header event here.

St. Louis Anarchy Postpone B Block Event Till September 18th

Paradigm Pro Wrestling has released its full line up for Same Energy on September 25th, 2020 in Sellersburg, IN. You can find the latest full line-up here. 

Synergy Pro Wrestling has announced four matches so far for Heatseekers, which is heading to FITE TV on Saturday, 29th of August 2020. The promotion has already announced Brandon Kirk vs Frightmare, Archadia vs Joe Gacy, LSG vs Matt Macintosh and The Whisper vs TJ Crawford. Synergy Pro Wrestling has also promised a new match announcement on Monday night landing at 8 pm ET.

WrestlePro is 5 days away from their return to Columbia Club in Union, NJ. On Saturday the 22nd of August it will be Rusman vs Wayward, Bowens vs Crawford, LSG vs Clash vs Corino vs VSK for the CAP Championship, Frost vs Lyn and Janela vs Myers for the first time ever. TNT Extreme Wrestling Continue Preparations For Their Halloween Weekend Events

TNT Extreme Wrestling has announced Nico Angelo vs Lykos II for their A Nightmare On Fleet Street Halloween event on the 31st of October 2020. A Nightmare On Fleet Street will be the promotion’s family-friendly event. Over Halloween weekend TNT Extreme Wrestling will be hosted three events including an all-female event.

Game Changer Wrestling or GCW’s Bring Em Out event is now available for pre-order on FITE TV. GCW’s next event will take place on Labor Day Weekend, September 6th to be exact and starts at 4:30 pm ET. Bring Em Out is sold out so to watch the show which includes ACH vs Blake, RSP vs Justice and Dickinson vs Colon you need to buy the event on FITE TV here.
