Imperial World Wrestling Announce The Purple Heart Cup

With professional wrestling on an all-time high, the rising of the independent wrestling companies is prevalent all over the country. For Imperial World Wrestling, it’s continuing to be the forward thinkers of the Northeast region in the wrestling world. Enter the Purple Heart Cup!
Imperial World Wrestling Announce The Purple Heart Cup
Fresh off attending this past Saturday’s Independent Wrestling Press Conference in Queens, New York, the powers that be including Tom Frazier, announce a brand new tournament: The Purple Heart Cup. In what we hope will feature some of indie wrestling big superstars, the PHC may be one of the biggest and hopefully annual events for years to come.

In a press release dropped on Presidents Day, IWW officials give the details behind the history-making tournament:

“8 wrestlers, 1 night. Purple Hearts are given to those who suffer a wound or fatality in the line of war. And that’s exactly what this will be. War. Last person standing becomes the first ever Imperial Heavyweight Champion!”

The New York City based company has announced the first round starting with the recent ROH Pacifico versus another heavy hitter in Danny Limelight taking place at the next event #IWWCheatCode on April 11th, 2020.

When more competitors are announced, we will release them here on Pro Wrestling Post.

Caul’s Call

Great move here by Imperial World Wrestling announcing a tournament. Since their first show, they have been progressively bridging the gap between many of the bigger indie companies and those, like them, trying to be influential in the industry.
This could be their Super Juniors or even their Dusty Classic for years to come. Hoping we see some more stars announced soon, including my pick to win this cup, IWW #1 draft pick, Jordan Oliver. Only time will tell.
