Heavy Lies The Head | Coming Up NXT for 11/11/20 | Preview

Last week’s edition was filled with amazing matches and big moments from many of the black and gold finest. But as we have another edition of the show, we start to see who holds the pecking order of the brand. And for Pat McAfee, the answer would easily be the Kings Of NXT. But the “best 4 man group on the brand” will have a lot to prove by keeping the NXT Tag Team gold in their stable on this week’s show. Fresh off of Io Shirai’s impressive win at Halloween Havoc, she now sets her dreams of dominance on the Nightmare. Will she respond to this epic challenge? And what of Xia Li’s seemingly pushing to be a better superstar with Boa lurking? All this and more as we bring you Coming Up NXT for November 11th, 2020: Heavy Lies The Head.

A Prove Yourself Match

On this week’s edition, Xia Li once again put a target on her back and aspiration up high in her match up against Raquel Gonzales.

Gonzales, fresh off her impressive loss to Rhea Ripley, is looking to bounce back in a big way after failing to hold her ground as La Diabla of NXT. On the other side of the coin, the ‘spicy’ Xia Li has come up short on multiple occasions making her encounters with countrymen Boa more and more intriguing. In a case of who wants it more, can Raquel get back on her winning was and hold court as one of the most fearsome women on the NXT roster? Or will Xia Li finally find a way to restore her honor and rise to the ranks of one of the most loaded women’s roster in pro wrestling?

Also, on the show, Johnny Gargano returns to the NXT ring as the new North American Champion. But while most have called foul on how the champ gained his 2nd reign as the champion of the continent, The Gargano Way hasn’t always been the most successful. To prove it, the champion will put his title on the line against a mystery opponent.

While we’re hoping to find out Gargano’s opponent before he hits the ring, the champion will be hard-pressed to be prepared for anything, even a certain archer of infamy. But with one of the deepest rosters in NXT history, any choice would be made for a TakeOver worthy matchup. Could it be Bronson Reed? The resident teacher, Timothy Thatcher? Or maybe a yet to debut new superstar? Either way, the match will be worth the watch especially with Damian Priest more than likely waiting in the wings for the winner.

Coronation Night

And for the Kings of NXT, it’s been one heavy hit after another as the four men who’ve turned the brand upside down continue to wreak unnecessary havoc to prove a point on why they now rule the black and gold. But for the two crown holders of this stable, there may be hell to pay.

In our sure-fire main event, the Kings’ Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan put their NXT Tag Team Championships on the line as they face the two men they defeated for the titles, Breezango. Breezango has been absent since the shocking turn of events of Oney and Danny’s betrayal of the NXT universe and siding with NXT enemy #1, Pat McAfee. But with Pat and fellow Kings member, the longest-reigning NXT UK Champion ever, Pete Dunne, this match becomes an uphill battle for the former champions.

Can Tyler Breeze and Fandango once again do the unthinkable and become two-time NXT Tag Team Champions and slow down the campaign of the Kings Of NXT takeover? Or will Lorcan and Burch continue to burn down the brand that made them and, as stated by McAfee, turn themselves into household names as champions?

Also, we hope to hear more from Shotzi Blackheart after watching Candice LeRae crush her beloved tank on last weeks show; we should also hear more from the NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai and await Rhea Ripley’s answer to her challenge for the title; and of course and update that should be provided on Finn Balor and the fate of the NXT Championship.

That is all on this week’s edition of Coming Up NXT for November 11th’s episode! Tune in Wednesday at 8 pm EST only on the USA Network.
