A Grime-y Faceoff

Coming Up NXT for 5/13/20

Fresh off of calling out the entire NXT roster, Finn Balor was beyond pissed at someone taking shots at him. It was an epic promo from the Prince. But not ever looking to be upstaged, the loudmouth backwood brawler known as Cameron Grimes took angst to Balor’s remarks. Grimes sought to find the “snake in the grass” and called out the former NXT Champion. But as they say, never write checks your ass cannot cash. As minutes into his Balor bashing, Grimes was confronted by The Prince and ate a Coupe de Grace for his troubles.

Rather than making this a battle on the mic, NXT General Manager William Regal decided to let these two men battle in the ring as Finn Balor veers off his road of vengeance to face off against NXT’s ‘Technical Savage’ Cameron Grimes in a first-time ever on NXT television. Will Balor make Grimes eat his words? Or will Grimes capitalize on Balor possibly overlooking him whit another major upset win in his young WWE career?

X Marks The Spot

After defeating literally destroying his opponent in his NXT debut, Karrion Kross and his Queen of Decimation, Scarlett, have finally arrived. In what WWE NXT’s Twitter calls “a cultural reset”, what would be next for this newest dynamic duo? Will Karrion continue to destroy lives on his path to deface the black and gold brand?  Who will be Kross’ next victim? Can anyone stop a man who’s literally struck midnight on everything we know in NXT?

Has The Fairytale of The Newly Bros Come to a End?

Coming Up NXT for 5/13/20

Matt Riddle has done his best to get the new NXT superstar, and tag team partner, Timothy Thatcher, acclimated on the brand since his shocking debut against the Undisputed Era for the NXT Tag Team titles just 3 weeks ago. But even with bros and fist bumps, the challenge always comes when you least expected. Which also happens to be Imperium’s MO.

Imperium lives on the idea that ‘The Mat Is Sacred’. And that they have been tasked to adjust what professional wrestling should be… in their image, of course. But with WALTER holding task like Thanos in the Avengers, it seems nothing shakes this foursome.

On Wednesday, a new prophecy may be fulfilled. One that re-brands the NXT Tag Titles into what tag team wrestling should be to the NXT UK resident tag team of Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner.

Ist Die Matte Heilig?

It’s the sure-fire main event as Matt Riddle and Timothy Thatcher take on Imperium’s Aichner and Barthel in a NXT Tag Team Championship match. Can Riddle, with Thatcher, continue his undefeated reign as tag champion or has this fairy tale finally hit an unhappy ending leading to Imperium holding court on two brands?

Also this week, we hope to find out where has NXT superstars Joaquin Wilde and Raul Mendoza are and maybe get a little closer on finding out who are the masked luchadores running around the WWE PC. Then, we are sure to continue the epic Interim NXT Cruiserweight Championship Tournament, as Akira Tozawa and KUSHIDA are starting to look dominant so far. But with so much tournament action left, can one of the other top stars rise in the ranks? And finally, after picking up a win in his title match against Velveteen Dream, Adam Cole sits in rarified air the longest-reigning NXT Champion in the brand’s short history. Will someone else step up? Will Velveteen Dream attempt to challenge for the title again?

That was Coming Up NXT for 5/13/20. Tune in tonight as NXT is only on the USA Network!
