Heath In The IMPACT Zone!

In the leadup to last year’s Bound For Glory, Heath and Rhino tried their hardest to secure contracts with IMPACT Wrestling. To that end, Heath and Rhino competed for their jobs in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet. However, Heath took a nasty bump in the match, putting him on the injured list. When the time came to sign the contract, executive VP Scott D’Amore stated he’d hold onto the contract until doctors cleared Heath to compete.

Since then, Rhino fell to the dark side, joining Eric Young’s villainous Violent By Design stable. However, in the aftermath of Victory Road, Young kicked Rhino out of the group. Last week, Heath returned to save Rhino from a vicious VBD attack. This week, he’ll address his status to the live audience in the IMPACT Zone.

Black Taurus vs Petey Williams vs Steve Maclin

IMPACT! on AXS TV Preview: October 7, 2021 – IMPACT Wrestling

The Triple Threat Tournament for the X Division Championship continues! Last week, we saw Trey Miguel defeat Laredo Kid and Alex Zayne in fast-paced, high-flying action. This week we see a shift in style, as we focus on three power wrestlers in the X-Division. At the outset, Petey Williams seems like the strongest pick. However, with 310 days as X Division champion over two reigns, he also has the most to lose. Meanwhile, Black Taurus is a powerful competitor, as seen in his work with Crazzy Steve in DECAY.

However, for all his power, Black Taurus seems to falter when he’s not in tag team action. Perhaps this tournament is just a stopgap on DECAY’s journey to the tag team titles. Finally, we have Steve Maclin, who is undefeated in IMPACT Wrestling since he debuted in June. With a number of wins over Williams already, does Maclin have Williams’ number? Tune in for hard-hitting triple threat action this week on IMPACT.

The Bullet Club vs FinJuice & Chris Sabin

The war between FinJuice and The Bullet Club rages ever on. Two weeks ago, David Finlay defeated Hikuleo in singles action. However, when the final bell rang, El Phantasmo invaded the IMPACT Zone, allowing Bullet Club to start a 3-on-2 beatdown. Last week, FinJuice cut a promo about Bullet Club’s numbers game strategy. During the promo, they announced their equalizer in the form of Chris Sabin.

The former 8-time X Division Champion said he was happy to join FinJuice, as not only is he a big fan of theirs, but he also hates Bullet Club. This Thursday night, two of the greatest high-fliers in IMPACT Wrestling join the hottest feud in the tag division.

Ace Austin & Madman Fulton vs Josh Alexander & Christian Cage

Last week, Madman Fulton faced the returning Christopher Daniels in singles action. However, just when it seemed like Fulton had the match in the bag, Josh Alexander started a fight with Ace Austin outside the ring. The ringside row distracted Madman Fulton, allowing Daniels to pick up the win. Following that match, Austin and Fulton marched up Executive VP Scott D’Amore demanding a rematch. D’Amore told Austin and Fulton that doctors had just cleared Christian Cage to compete, and made the match for Thursday night.

Cage and Alexander have a very tenuous relationship worked out. Christian Cage saved Josh Alexander from a 2-on-1 beatdown at the hands of Austin and Fulton the week after Victory Road. Afterwards, however, the IMPACT World Champion clarified that he didn’t back up Alexander because they’re friends. Cage said he broke up the beatdown because he doesn’t want any excuses after their match for the IMPACT World Championship at Bound For Glory. Can the champion and challenger work together or is Thursday night the night it all breaks down?

What Else To Expect

  • More from Christopher Daniels
  • Brian Myers continues to train the next generation
  • Deonna Purrazzo and Mickie James cross paths again
