Let Us Hear From Christian Cage

On last Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite, Paul Wight announced that a “Hall of Fame-worthy competitor” would make their debut at AEW Revolution. The internet wrestling community was abuzz all week about who it might be. It turned out that the new signee was Christian Cage, the 47-year-old veteran who had just returned to the ring after a nearly seven-year absence.

On this week’s show, he will speak for the very first time on AEW programming. What will he have to say? It was a surprising choice to see him join the AEW roster last week. What are his goals in the months to come? It will be fun to find out.

Britt Baker, Maki Itoh & Nyla Rose vs. Hikaru Shida, Ryo Mizunami & Thunder Rosa

Hikaru Shida and Ryo Mizunami had a physical match at AEW Revolution. After fifteen grueling minutes, Shida retained her title. She didn’t have long to celebrate when Baker, Itoh, and Nyla Rose attacked both competitors after the match. It is time for some revenge on Wednesday night.

This six-woman tag team match could lead to many interesting storylines for the future of the division. Will Baker or Rose become future contenders for Shida’s title? Will this be the first of many appearances for the popular Maki Itoh? And will Mizunami and Thunder Rosa be able to work with the AEW Women’s World Champion? It is hard to say, but hopefully, this great match will be another positive step in the growing AEW Women’s Division.

Inner Circle War Council

Chris Jericho and MJF lost the AEW World Tag Team Championship in heartbreaking fashion to the Young Bucks on Sunday night. It was a clear and decisive loss at AEW Revolution. The question is what comes next for them and the Inner Circle?

On Wednesday night, the Inner Circle will have a “War Council.” What exactly that means is unclear. With all the setbacks the stable has faced in recent months, can they possibly get back on track? It will be interesting to see the future of the Inner Circle going forward.

Matt Jackson vs. Rey Fenix

Who doesn’t want to see a tag team match between the Young Bucks and Pac/Rey Fenix? After Pac and Rey Fenix won the fifteen-team Casino Tag Team Royale, they earned a future tag team shot. The road to that incredible match begins on Wednesday.

Matt Jackson will face off against Rey Fenix in singles action. Can Matt Jackson keep up with the incredible high-flying Rey Fenix? Few can, but it will be an incredible match to watch on AEW Dynamite. This is just the beginning of what will surely be a memorable tag team feud.

Darby Allin (c) vs. Scorpio Sky
(TNT Championship)

Scorpio Sky won a literal Brass ring at AEW Revolution. In a grueling twenty-five-minute ladder match, Sky was able to outlast five talented competitors to win a future TNT Championship match. Scorpio Sky is an immensely talented wrestler who was just looking for a breakthrough moment. It seems he didn’t want to wait very long since he is going to cash in that chance just three days later.

Darby Allin is coming off a brutal Street Fight at AEW Revolution. Darby Allin was thrown through a glass window and did an elbow drop from a few stories above Brian Cage through a platform. It looked very painful. Can Darby Allin possibly be recovered enough physically to go against the talented Scorpio Sky? If he isn’t ready, he could lose the TNT Championship on Wednesday night.
