This preview is to get ready for the last big Stardom show called Dream Slam before they head over to New York for Wrestlemania Weekend. Stardom will also be having a show in New York on April 5th at 4 PM. If you’re in that area around that time, then I highly recommend that you check it out since it’ll be a show you don’t want to miss. Anyway, let’s have a quick rundown of the card for this show. Stardom Dream Slam 2019.
Battle Royal
Hana Kimura vs. Natsu Sumire vs. Jungle Kyona vs. Hina vs. Rina vs. Saya Iida vs. Leo Onozaki
Preview: Our first match will be a battle royal with Hana Kimura, Natsu Sumire, Jungle Kyona, Hina, Rina, Saya Iida, and Leo Onozaki. Speaking of Hana Kimura, this will be her first time wrestling for Stardom in her new full-time contract as she had her final match with Wrestle-1 to be with Stardom as her new some, so a push should be expected down the road. Normal battle royal rules will apply with this one with eliminations being pinfall, submission, or over the top rope. While we have a mix of rookies and vets in this one, who knows what prize will be in store for the winner.
Eight Man Tag Team Match
Queen’s Quest (Viper, AZM, Konami, & Bea Priestley) vs. STARS (Arisa Hoshiki, Saki Kashima, Starlight Kid, & Tam Nakano)
Preview: Our next match is an eight-man tag team match with Queen’s Quest members, Viper AZM, Konami, and Bea Priestley taking on members of STARS, Arisa Hoshiki, Saki Kashima, Starlight Kid, and Tam Nakano. As you’re aware, Viper has recently signed a WWE deal and is apart of the NXT UK roster, so it looks like this will be known as her farewell match from Stardom. Both teams looked stacked for this one and it’s sure to be a battle of the ages. Will Viper win in her final Stardom match or will STARS defeat Queen’s Quest?
High Speed Title Match
Hazuki (c) vs. Xia Brookside
Preview: Now that we have all of the non-title matches out of the way, it’s time to have our first title match of the show. We have Oedo Tai’s, Hazuki defending her High-Speed Championship against Xia Brookside. Xia Brookside is also another who has signed a WWE deal to be apart of the NXT UK roster, so it appears to be her final match with Stardom as well much like it’ll be for Viper. And for the people that don’t know, the High-Speed title is more known for women who are known to be fast and/or high flyers. This will be her fourth title defense and the big story is her and Arisa Hoshiaki, but it’ll have to be put on hold as she sets to defend her title against someone else first. Will Xia win or will Hazuki send her home packing?
– Also on the show, there will be a retirement ceremony for Shiki Shibusawa who has announced her retirement from professional wrestling. Shiki only had a year of in-ring experience but she disappeared for a couple of months due to being a victim of a bully from fans because of her skills in the ring. While it’s sad to see someone go, wrestling is not for everyone and if she has to go, then I 100% support her decision and wish her the best.
Stardom Dream Slam 2019
SWA Undisputed World Women’s Title Match
Utami Hayashishita (c) vs. Rebel Kel
Preview: Our second title match of the evening is Utami Hayashishita defending her SWA Undisputed World Women’s Championship against Revel Kel. Rebel is one of the people who has recently started touring in Stardom and has aligned herself with Hana Kimura and her group. This match is fairly new as Rebel made the challenge on March 21st to fight Utami for one of the four belts she has. Utamihas has been one of the most dominating forces in Stardom with under a year of experience, guess that’s why they call her the Super Rookie. Will Utami will be called Utami4belts or will Rebel take the title from her?
Women of Honor World Title Match
Mayu Iwatani (c) vs. Natsuko Tora
Preview: Our next match is Mayu Iwatani defending Ring of Honor’s Women of Honor World Championship against Natsuko Tora. For people that don’t know, I’m not a big fan of ROH anymore and I believe their Women of Honor division is one of the worst when it comes to females in professional wrestling. However, Stardom has made much better use out of it than Kelly Klein or Sumie Sakai since Mayu is a great talent and Stardom has a more diverse talent of females, unlike ROH.
Anyway, This will be Mayu’s final defense for the belt before she’s set to defend it at Madison Square Garden for the G1 Supercard show. Natsuko made the challenge to Mayu since she wants to wrestle at the Garden as well, but she would need to defeat Mayu in order for that to happen. Will Mayu be able to retain her title or will Natsuko win her first singles title?

Wonder of Stardom Title Match
Momo Watanabe (c) vs. Andras Miyagi
Preview: One of our main events for this show is Momo Watanabe defending her Wonder of Stardom Championship against Oedo Tai’s newest member, Andras Miyagi. On March 9th, their respective units were in a tag team match where Andras would actually pin the champion and she would officially make a challenge for both the Goddesses of Stardom and Wonder of Stardom Championships.
Andras would fail to capture the Goddesses of Stardom Championship with Natsu Sumire when they fought both Momo and Utami Hayashishita on the March 21st show, but Andras has a chance to defeat Momo to take her white belt this time around. Momo is built to be the future of the company and has elevated the title ever since she won it from Io Shirai and even broke her record for most title defenses, but she now has to deal with former Sendai Girls wrestler who is no easy task. Will Momo retain her belt once more or will she finally fall to a tougher opponent?

World of Stardom Title Match
Kagetsu (c) vs. Goya Kong
Preview: Our main event of the evening is Kagetsu defending her World of Stardom Championship against AAA’s Goya Kong. Goya made her Stardom debut on the March 9th show and after the main event, she would make her challenge to Kagetsu for the title but Kagetsu would first decline the challenge. However, she would have a change of heart when she figured Stardom’s President, Rossy Owaga thought it was a good idea to bring her to Stardom for a big match, so she would give in and accept the challenge. Kagetsu has had a rather odd title run thus far and a win here would make her the champion leading to their show in NYC. Will Kagetsu retain the title or does Goya Kong win in her first title match in Stardom?
It may be seven matches on the show, but it’s definitely enough to have fans interested from top to bottom with five title matches and storylines going forward for Mania weekend.
