CEW Presents Legendary Series | Preview

CEW Presents Legendary Series. Two years ago, during the height of the pandemic, Central Empire Wrestling held two seasons of a Facebook live show called PowerSlam. During the season two finale, a triple threat match was held between current CEW Champion JT Energy and current Tag Team Champions Rory Fox and Jared Thumb.

With the odds heavily stacked against him, things didn’t look good for Energy, but the arrival of Damien Saint changed everything. Focusing his attack on Rory Fox, Saint intervened, costing the former Champion his opportunity at holding the promotion’s top prize once again.

Since that day, the world of CEW has revolved around these four men, and this Saturday, March 5, during CEW’s very first Legendary Series show, they take center stage once again. In the night’s main event, the CEW Tag Team Titles will be on the line in a tables match.

Fox and Thumb have been the definition of fighting champions, turning away anybody and everybody who steps to the plate. One man they’ve seen numerous times with various partners is Damien Saint.

His obsession with destroying Rory Fox and taking the tag titles serving as a hindrance to finding the right partner and finally defeating the champs. Enter JT Energy. The current CEW Heavyweight Champion is in the midst of a historic reign atop the promotion.

Always looking to add more treasures to his ever-growing collection of championships, Energy seized the opportunity to form an unholy alliance with Damien Saint.

During CEW’s final show of 2021, the “Mistery of Darkness” was officially formed when, on that night, Energy defended his championship against Thumb while Saint got his first win over Fox.

With CEW’s biggest show of the year, Bridge City Slam IV, on the horizon, this next chapter in the story between these four men could be the most violent. One that could change each one of them and the landscape of CEW forever.

Saturday’s main event isn’t the only exciting action set to take place this weekend. Coming to Oskaloosa, Iowa Saturday night are two professional wrestling legends in Cowboy Bob Orton and Haku.

Not only will these two bonafide legends be in attendance, but CEW also has an exciting card of matches ready to take place. Let’s take a look.

Central Empire Wrestling Presents Legendary Series
Storm Thomas vs. Beer City Bruiser

When it comes to CEW, Storm Thomas is a certifiable icon. The man has done it all, and if you made a CEW Mount Rushmore, his face would be front and center. This Saturday is Thomas’ final CEW show in Oskaloosa, as he recently announced his plans to retire from professional wrestling this year.

His eleven-year journey in pro wrestling is ending, and he’s going out with a bang, facing as many tough competitors as possible before he rides off into the sunset. Bringing us to Saturday and his showdown with the Beer City Bruiser.

A staple of Ring of Honor since 2015, the Beer City Bruiser is a no-nonsense brawler inside the squared circle and is an ideal opponent for Thomas to once again steal the show. Something he has a knack for when he competing in a CEW ring.

Emotions will be high the moment Storm Thomas walks through the CEW curtain for the final time in Oskaloosa, ready to do what he does best in a CEW ring. It will be a fitting sending-off for the CEW legend.

CEW Presents Legendary Series
Donnie Peppercricket vs. Atilla Khan

This is a battle of crafty veterans. Donnie Peppercricket, a former CEW Champion and the very first CEW Hall of Fame inductee is returning to the promotion for the first time since Bridge City Slam III.

Every time he wrestles in front of the loyal Oskaloosa crowd, he receives a hero’s ovation, and this Saturday will be no different. Standing across from Peppercricket Saturday night will be Attila Khan.

A seasoned veteran in his own right, Khan is the current SICW All-Star Classic Champion. Both men can brawl with the best of them, and this Saturday has all the makings of a good old-fashioned slobber knocker.

Central Empire Wrestling: Legendary Series
Valentina Loca vs BB Ryan –
Special Guest Referee Big Bad Wallace

Back at Bridge City Slam III, Big Bad Wallace took the CEW Women’s Championship from Valentina Loca in the most dubious of ways. Since then, the brash and arrogant Wallace, along with the manager supreme Axel Greece, have gloated to and tormented Loca and the CEW fans at every opportunity.

Saturday night, somehow, he finds himself as the special referee in a match between Loca and top contender BB Ryan. Naturally, Loca would love nothing more than to pick up a big win against Ryan, but she would love to get her hands on Big Bad Wallace even more.

There are a lot of combustible elements heading into this one.

CEW Presents Legendary Series
Haku vs. The Candyman

WWE and WCW legend Haku comes to CEW this Saturday, and that’s bad news for the Candyman. Known the world over as one of the toughest men in and out of the ring, Haku picks up where his former partner in the Faces of Fear, the Barbarian, left off at Bridge City Slam III.

That night the Barbarian defeated Koda Jacobs and the Candyman in a handicap match. Candyman’s pre-match sneak attack on Barbarian proved costly as the nefarious duo were easy prey for the legend.

Since Bridge City Slam III, the Candyman has tried to gain some momentum in CEW this Saturday; he has a huge hurdle to leap in order to do that. CEW fans could be in for a treat when Haku gets his hands on the Candyman.

Zay K 47 vs. Ript Studwell

While Peppercricket versus Khan is a battle of crafty veterans, this contest is a showdown of two up-and-comers. Ript Studwell made his debut for CEW at the end of 2021 and is still looking for win number one inside the promotion.

He’ll do anything inside and outside of the rules to try and get that first win this Saturday. For Zay K 47, this is his debut in CEW, and he is looking to make an immediate impact. His athleticism makes him a tough matchup for anyone, and a win here would be one hell of a way to begin his CEW tenure.

One up and comer is getting a big win Saturday, a win that could springboard them to more success down the road.

With multiple legends in the house and a stacked card Saturday night, CEW’s final stop before Bridge City Slam IV has all the makings of a classic.
