During IMPACT Wrestling’s No Surrender special event, they aired a vignette announcing the arrival of David Finlay and Juice Robinson, affectionately known as FinJuice. The video promo featured highlights of the daring duo’s work in New Japan Pro Wrestling. This announcement comes after Tony Khan’s promo about opening “The Forbidden Door” and starting an AEW/NJPW/IMPACT Wrestling partnership. It seems now that stars of AEW, NJPW, and IMPACT Wrestling can appear on each other’s shows freely.

David Finlay comes to IMPACT Wrestling following his time with NJPW Strong at the LA Dojo. Meanwhile, Juice Robinson has just returned from an orbital bone injury that cost him his spot at Wrestle Kingdom 15. While IMPACT Wrestling has not announced a date for their arrival, what is clear is that FinJuice intend to light up the IMPACT Wrestling tag team division.

    Who Are FinJuice?

FinJuice are a tag team in New Japan Pro Wrestling consisting of David Finlay and Juice Robinson. Both men entered training at the NJPW Dojo in 2015 but formed their tag team after they independently joined Ryusuke Taguchi’s Taguchi Japan stable in 2017. In 2019, they won the World Tag League tournament, going on to capture the IWGP Tag Team Championship.

David Finlay is the son of legendary Irish wrestler Fit Finlay. He debuted in 2012 in a tag team match with his father against Robbie Brookside and Dan Collins. This was also his father’s retirement match. He spent much of his early career working for European Wrestling Promotion in Germany before joining New Japan Pro Wrestling in 2015. While with NJPW, he’s held the IWGP Tag Team Championship once and the NEVER Openweight 6-man tag team championship with Ricochet and Satoshi Kojima.

Juice Robinson debuted for IWA Mid-South in 2008 after training under Truth Martini. Robinson spent his early career working for IWA:MS and various promotions under the NWA banner. In 2011, he signed a developmental contract with WWE, joining the FCW developmental promotion. There, he wrestled as the hippie, environmentalist heel CJ Parker. He stayed with FCW through their rebranding as NXT before requesting his release in 2015. Robinson then returned to the indie scene, working for CZW, Beyond Wrestling, and All-Star Wrestling before joining the NJPW dojo. While tagging with David Finlay, he also captured the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship twice.
