Stardom’s Nine-Year Anniversary Show has recently ended on January 19th. It was a show full of great matches. The show also included; Kagetsu’s final singles match in Stardom before her retirement next month. Also, new champions crowned at the show as well as top Gaijins win the Goddesses of Stardom Championship. Tokyo Cyber Squad members, Jungle Kyona and Konami would defend their Goddesses of Stardom Championships against two people from separate units. Oedo Tai’s Jamie Hayter would team up with former World of Stardom Champion and Queen’s Quest member, Bea Priestley.
Before this match took place, the two teams actually met during the Goddesses of Stardom Tag League on October 19th where Bea and Jamie would actually defeat the champions in a non-title match, so this is why we’re getting this match again for the titles this time around. It would seem that lightning would strike twice as Jamie and Bea would defeat the champions again but this time, for the titles. Bea and Jamie would also be the first gaijin team in Stardom to win the Goddesses of Stardom Championships. However, they are not the first gaijin’s overall. The first gaijin to ever hold the belt was Hailey Hatred when she teams with Kyoko Kimura on March 17, 2013.
Either way, still a historic moment for being the first gaijin team to win it. It really proves that they’re the top gaijins in Stardom like they claimed to be.
That’s not the only thing that would happen on that night. First, Jamie Hayter would challenge Utami Hayashishita for the SWA Undisputed World Women’s Championship on January 25th. The next thing that would happen is Bea would attack her leader, Momo Watanabe. After Bea failed to defeat Mayu Iwatani for the World of Stardom Championship. She said she’s left Queen’s Quest and was now apart of Oedo Tai. That’s not all she would do. She would also challenge Arisa Hoshiki for the Wonder of Stardom Championship on February 8th. It is definitely going to be a great couple of shows coming up. Congratulations to Bea and Jamie on winning the titles and hoping for a good reign out of these two.
