It’s no secret that last month she and her boyfriend, Killer Kross, both asked for their releases from the company. Kross, speaking to the Wrestling Perspectives podcast last week, talked about how they weren’t happy with Impact Wrestling. How they weren’t paid enough and how even now, Scarlett has to have a side job to make ends meet –
“I personally really don’t really need much. But it’s just different when you have people to take care of, circumstances change in life. You can’t anticipate it. Being told to go get another job by your job, that’s f****d up. You’re struggling to make ends meet taking care of people, and the job that you can barely afford to have tells you to go get another job so you can keep that job. It’s like working at a corporation being told to go work at McDonald’s. It’s a weird feeling.”
Upon news of her leaving went public, Scarlett tweeted the following –

This news comes hot on the heels of her appearing for AAA at the weekend. It was widely reported that while working on the Verano De Escandalo event, Scarlett was grabbed by a fan as she was working a match –

Blake’s Take: Busy few days for Scarlett hasn’t it? First of all, you had a fan grab her inappropriately at the AAA show this past weekend. Then she was granted her release from Impact Wrestling. The way she handled the fan situation has to be commended. That garnered her new fans. She didn’t condemn the fan but put it very plainly that women are not to be touched like that no matter the situation. Bordeaux was definitely on the rise in Impact, and I’m sure she will get paid what she’s worth on the indies.
